Sorry to hear about your rubbish day Sary, at least your son is ok after the accident.  Hope today is better for you.  Well done on the loss GTQ - any loss is still a loss.

Have to take DH to his office later (he doesn't drive and doesn't want to get the bus) to pick up a new laptop.  The one he's currently using is perfectly fine so no idea what's going on   That means my lunch plan might change as I'll be in town around lunch time so might fancy treating myself to something.

B - Carrot cake porridge (HEB, 1/2 HEA unsweetened almond milk, grated carrot, cinnamon, nutmeg, 1.5 syns of sultanas, skinny caramel syrup)
L - Salad bowl (mixed leaves, spicy beansprouts and peppers, carrot, cucumber, radish, fried egg)
D - Mushroom risotto (mushrooms, rice, stock, HEA parmesan)

Morning all.  Well done GTQ on your loss.  A lb loss is where you should be, SW say 1-2lb a week.  The slower it comes off the more likely it is to stay off.  It was WI for me this morning too but it was a lb gain but this is over a 2 week period as we were on holiday last week so I'm happy with that.  It puts me bang on target!

    Today's plan:

    B - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, bean - P; S; F
    L - LF butcher's burger & onions in WM roll - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - Fish pie using Bisto cheese sauce granules - P; S; F; 3

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WM roll
    Syns - burger 0.5; cheese sauce 3

    Morning everyone,
Sorry to hear about your boys Sary. Glad DS3 is okay after the car accident and hope DS4 can reflect and find something else. Children are such a worry - more so when they're adults!!
Maman - not sure lettuce will feature....maybe quick cook dried noodles though - I will try!
No running today - rest day before my hike eeeek! Food today:
    B - Weetabix and skimmed milk (HEA/HEB)
    L - JP (1), baked beans, salad (S)
D - some sort of chicken and veg traybake - need to hunt and gather for this.
    Have a good day all,
    Coxy xx

    Afternoon all 😁

Well done GTQ and Denise that was good considering your holiday!

Well i have been out again all day!
I met a friend and we went to the company shop, if anyone has one and can register go! So many bargains to be had from bread, to veg, meat, yoghurts butter, frozen stuff! I went as her guest, but then when you pay you get a guest pass that last's 2 weeks, then next time you get one again , so can just rinse and repeat, we had to rush though as was a queue to get in and she said never seen a queue before there, i might go next week and spend more time there.
I bought 5 packs of these for £1.90 each still in date for another 3 days , so in the freezer they go!

That's good value bubbs.  We haven't got anything like that near where I live but certainly sounds worthwhile if anyone can get to one.

Celebrate that pound gtq. They all count! 😉

A pound on is good considering all those  synful tins you were eating up in the caravan denise.

How was the pesto pollo ruby? Anything like the original?

I googled those company shops and there's nothing in the south at all bubbs. The nearest one to us is Corby! 130 miles is a long way to go.  I wouldn't want anyone to be put off thinking that SW has to be expensive. I know your chicken was an exception, but I find it relatively easy to feed us SW meals and be very mse. I used to think that's because I have the time to shop around but I've done very little of that in the past 4 months and although prices are going up, I've managed well. I think you have to be prepared to cook from scratch though.

Today is the start of a new week for me too. This coming week should be better as no tv football to derail me. The last match of the season is on Sunday.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), HEB toast, HEA1 milk, scrambled eggs (P)
    L- ham (P), 1 potato (F), fried veg and beetroot (S)
    - SW Bolognese (P,S), tagliatelle (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- HP sauce 1
  • Odd question, purely because I don't drink so haven't got a clue!  I know that alcohol is synned, but what impact does low alcohol drink have, are the syn values reduced like reduced/low fat yoghurt etc?
A smile costs little but creates much :)

You've come to the right place to ask gtq!

It makes a considerable difference. Low alcohol/alcohol free wine is about 9 syns for a bottle (750mls). A bottle of 'real' wine is at least 30 syns, more for some of the nicer ones.
