I do a similar thing maman - I try to plan to be as low syn as possible in meals and then make the odd tweaks as I go on a daily basis.  Although sometimes I find myself wandering up the chocolate aisle in the supermarket and things just fall into the trolley.  It's a bit better now DH doesn't come with me as he would just chuck stuff in the trolley while I was off getting things that we actually had on our list

Looks like we all have problem DHs when we go shopping!  I do buy DH Magnum type lollies from Lidl that he likes but I try to avoid them as they are 15 syns each and I really don't want to waste that many on a single item, which is why I buy myself fruit lollies or mini milks as they are usually only 1.5-4 syns each and they're handy to have in the freezer in the warm weather!

Suppose I'm lucky in that I don't particularly like crips so DH has those to munch on nearly every week!  Chocolate I bought about a month ago is till in the fridge unopened as I just haven't fancied it after I worked out the syns - 4 syns per one square!  It's the new Cadbury Darkmilk chocolate!  It will stay in the fridge until I actually have syns left at the end of the week or I'll take it with us when we go away so that I can share it as we're meeting up with friends  and DD2 & partner on a campsite next month!

It's strange that some things can be in the cupboard and I can ignore them happily but others call to me. I always have 70% chocolate in as DH says it's good for his health! Just occasionally I'll have some, sometimes just a tiny bit to get the flavour but often weeks go by without bothering. Fortunately the whole bar is only 7 syns so it's not a disaster if I do succumb. Now it's in my head I'll probably have some later.

DH almost never comes shopping with me but I wasn't feeling 100% last Friday so he volunteered. He said he's go on his own but that would have been a step too far! Today he went out to buy a newspaper and came home with fishcakes with cheese inside.  We'll have them as a treat on Saturday at 7 syns! He has too much time on his hands with lockdown!

I'm making Hairy Bikers Braised Steaks today. It's not a normal midweek meal for us but I got some really lean YS casserole steak and it seemed a shame to cut to into chunks.  I count it as syn free because half a tsp of cornflour shared between us isn't worth bothering about.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried eggs (P), mushrooms (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- mushroom omelette (P,S), ham (P), beetroot (S)
D- HB braised steak (P,S), SW roast potatoes (F), cauli, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, kale (S
    Syns- HP sauce 1

Lol about your DH Bubbs! Mine eats whatever I give him. If he doesn’t shop he doesn’t get to choose  ;)
Manchester Tart was nice - baked 40g oats with FF vanilla yog, 1 egg, half tsp of sweetener and half tsp of vanilla essence. Topped with 1 tsp strawb jam mixed with tsp water and heated up. I punctured the cooked tart to absorb the jam. It was lovely and very filling. I might have also burnt my tongue  :| Saying 1.5 syns.

Dinner was turkey saltimbocca from Take 5 book - 0.5 syns

Like Denise I’ve managed to rein in syns these past two days so have 15/day until end of Saturday. However I’m on a hike Friday and Saturday, carrying all kit and camping so lord knows what we will be eating. I will try but an army marches on its stomach  ;)
    Have a good evening all

That's true coxy but as you have to carry everything then the less weight the better. Lettuce doesn't weigh much.🤣
