Thanks Bubbs, and you're right, I did it before.
It must be that time Beanie....  if my bum got any bigger I'd have had to stick a flag in it and claim it as a new continent at the rate I was going, so best to draw a line.  How are you doing?

Good to see you posting again sary. 😁
You're right, you've taken that first important step. Ironically today is the anniversary of that 'one small step....'. That was on the moon but you get the idea. 😉

Welcome back Sary.  As others have said you've done it before you can do it again.

I assume with the 6 syns for the extra bread you're having is a slice from 800g loaf but as long as it's wholemeal there is a way round that - just buy either the Morrisons or the Nevilles  800g wholemeal and 2 slices count as one HEB now.  Doesn't apply to any other 800g loaves as far as I know but I've been buying the Morrisons one since it became a HEB and of course 2 slices of 800g loaf is more filling than the little 400g loaf!

Over syns again last night as opened a bottle of white wine so need to do another tot up of syns to see how many more syns I have left for today and tomorrow (I've already planned some for today).

    So today's plan:

    B - eggs on toast
    L - sweet chilli noodles with salad bits - S; F; 3
D - cottage pie & veg (using savoury mince I cooked last week as the base) - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - 2 Tbs sweet chilli sauce 3

Morning all, nice to see some familiar faces back.  That picnic box looked amazing bubbs, really want to try and track that person down now on Instagram to see what other ideas they have!

Mixing it up a little bit today because I think another salad for lunch might make me go slightly insane.

B - Mango with fresh lime, Kvarg vanilla yogurt (1/2 syn)
L - Cheese on toast (HEB & 1 HEA), HM salsa (red onion, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers)
D - Salmon fillet, broccoli, peas, asparagus)

I thought the picnic box looked very pretty for Instagram but too many sandwiches to make it genuinely SW friendly for me.  I certainly wouldn't be satisfied with two little sandwiches.  I'd have added sausages or cold chicken or falafels or something free/low syn and substantial. Then I read  the posts about the Morrison's bread  this morning and that made me think it  potentially wasn't too bad. We only have one Morrisons right over on the other side of the city but I will definitely try some when I'm next over that way. Then I can have Welsh rarebit for lunch too!

Not exactly sure what's happening today.  We're going out to visit a NT property but, like yesterday, we'll have to leave about lunchtime for a timed slot. Normally we' d stop for lunch or dinner or a drink. I can't see that happening but you never know. I have rejigged the plan for a quick, easy meal this evening. I'm expecting everything to run smoothly but will hold off on menu until later in case plans change.
  • Morning All,
Leftover chicken and leak bake for lunch for me today (2 and hea) with veggies, other than that I will be sipping on Peppermint tea throughout the day.  I have 5% mince in the fridge, so it will be spag bol for tea tonight :) Does anyone know if you can still use Virgin olive oil as a heb? thanks  x

No penny, oil isn't listed as a HEB any more. If you really think it makes a difference then it's 6 syns for a tablespoon. But there are lots of things that used to work before and I can see little reason why they wouldn't work now unless it something where the recipe has changed. I often have the Rankin Soda Bread as a HEB, just because I like it.🙂

    Good to see you sary.
Funnily enough I just popped my head round the door the other day!
Another one coming out of the woodwork here!  :D

I spiralled out of control the first few weeks of lockdown - combination of anxious eating and having to buy a lot of food all at once to reduce shopping trips. I've managed to rein myself in a little bit over the past month or so and managed to maintain (about a stone heavier than before lockdown), but what's galvanised me is seeing a work document last week that said we won't be back in the office til January! :cold_sweat: This is going to be normal life for me for the rest of the year so I need to get back into a proper SW routine. Plus, 2020 feels like a write-off in so many ways now, I want to at least achieve something and be able to emerge into 2021 feeling good and ready to enjoy myself! I have been weighing every week but not updating my records so I'll do that today and work out where I'm at.

How is everyone? I hope you're all well and no one has been affected by Covid either health-wise or economically xx
