    Hi all,
Will be following along :) I'm a boomerang SW member I tend to do really well, then think I can do it alone and repeat. I did switch to cc and did well (for a few weeks) but find I can stick the longest with SW.  I've just weighed myself and I'm 5lb away from my heaviest (even after kids) so now is deffo the time for me to start again xx

You're very welcome to tag along. Do you know what makes you give up?🤔 Personally I've found it a bit easier during lockdown because I'm not eating out.

Your cheese on toast sounds  like a traditional Welsh Rarebit denise, much nicer than just slices plonked on the toast and grated cheese goes further IMO.

Exciting times today. I'm getting my hair cut at last!! 😁 My appointment is for 1.15 (I just took whatever  was available) so not sure what to do about lunch. Probably have it early although had a great breakfast so not specially hungry.

    Todays EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg, bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- cold meat (P), fried potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- baked haddock (P), SW chips, mushy peas (F), tomato, cauli steak, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- 0!!🤣

Morning all!  Welcome to all the newbies and welcome back beanie!

Happy to report a 1.5lb loss this week so I'm now into a nicer stone bracket and hoping to keep going down from there.  Had a chilled weekend as still wasn't feeling brilliant and I think I may need to try and get a Dr's appointment.  It's nothing serious I just think my arthritis is starting to ramp up a little and it may be time to actually see a Rheumatologist.  My ankles do that thing you were talking about bubbs where it feels like the joint is all compressed and you just need to pop it a little to get it going again.  Horrible pain and makes me feel sick when it happens which has been quite frequently lately :disappointed:

B - Branflakes (HEB), skimmed milk (1/2 HEA), mango with lime
L - Some kind of salad, maybe with a poached egg and some mushrooms that I need to use up
D - Chinese style chicken curry (with a speed packed sauce), rice

Hope you all have a good day, I'm about to join yet another team call which I will spend most of the time on mute because my stomach keeps rumbling.  Don't these people know midday is lunch time!

  • Hi @maman,   I think I don't tend to look at the bigger picture of how much I've lost in a month and then get disheartened as if I have had a really good week I feel i deserve to see it on the scale straight away. Or the alternative is I do really well and then think I'll just have this or that and it equally goes to pot lol xxx
I've had bacon, egg, beans and mushrooms for brunch and have chicken and leek bake and veg planned for tea (2 syn's per person plus hea).
I notice I only tend to eat fruit when I'm on sw lol so will try and incorporate that through the week and avoid chocolate.   Chocolate is deffo my downfall, I know u can syn it but its stopping where I struggle lol so for the moment think its best to just avoid it.  Im not really a drinker and think I would be the size of a house if I did both  :D

I was saying the same thing last week Lookafterthepennies2020 about not being able to stop eating the bad food when its around you.  I also can't have chocolate in the house but one day I hope to be able to know when to stop.  I've definitely found a little more will power over the last couple of days where I've stopped eating when I'm full regardless of what's left on my plate.  DH has been happy because it's meant he's had a little extra of things like Chilli or the last sausage I couldn't finish yesterday   It's taken a while and I'm not saying it's here to stay but just drawing a line and starting again each time has got me here.

Thanks denise, here's hoping!  Only about a stone and a half to go - slow and steady is all I'm aiming for.

Changed my mind re: lunch and ended up having a hash of sorts with a lonely potato that was in the salad drawer along with a couple of scraggly carrots and the mushrooms plus a fried egg on top.  Very enjoyable and filling.

Hi everyone and welcome LATP2020. I’m new here too and the support has been great  :)
2.6k run this morning. I went a different route and it was shorter than I wanted but at least I did it lol.
    Food today:
    B - overnight oats (HEB/1)
L - walked to shop to drop off a parcel and popped into M&S and got this:

It was tasty and took me back to office based lunch hours!! Probably some syns though- is anyone able to check pretty please?
    D - JP with tuna salad (2)
I’m shopping tonight, so dinner will be late. Will have a banana before I go  ;)

It's 6 syns for the pack coxy. 🙂

Well done on your loss ruby. Great to see progress. 👏👏👏

I eat hardly any fruit penny. (hope it's OK to call you that😉). I don't have a sweet tooth and get on better with veg and masses of pickles. 😁 I think you're right to lay off the chocolate if you really can't stop. I did the same with cheese. Even now I just keep frozen, grated cheese and Parmesan in as I can't really overeat those. When I go out for a really nice meal (Remember that? 😪) I'll have a cheeseboard and enjoy it. Perhaps you could just buy one bar as a weekend treat and when it's gone it's gone. 🤔
Is that the SW chicken and leek recipe with the grated potato? 🙂

  • Well done on the run @Coxy11 :) I’m hoping once I feel a bit more in the swing of it I’ll get out running again once or twice a week.  I’m not the quickest but previously would do 4/5k a few times a week and my head would feel so clear every time I came back.

of course @maman I’ve been called a lot worse  :D it’s the Schwartz chicken and leek packet mix, it’s really nice and creamy I imagine it would be an incredible pie filling (if I were allowed pie lol) x
I’ve a terrible sweet tooth, I’ve stopped buying biscuits etc this week and I’m going to make jellies with the kids as it’s a lot kinder on the syns.  I’ve bought a little angel cake for pudding for everyone tonight and one tiny slice is 6 syns I’m now realising how all this weight has crept back on :)
