Morning all, not so nice this morning, it's a bit grey and wouldn't be surprised if we get some rain later.  Glad I did my washing yesterday and didn't leave it until today.

Might pop to the butchers later as I'm out of low fat sausages and burgers and I do like to keep some in the freezer, always handy for a quick meal.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
    L - cheese salad sandwich - HEA; HEB; S; 0.5
D - roast pork dinner - pork; roast potatoes, carrots, carrots, peppers; green veg; apple sauce - P; S; F; 1

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; apple sauce 1

Went over by 13.5 syns yesterday as DH bought me in a Magnum type lolly which was 15 syns and I'd already had 13.5 so need to keep low syn today to keep me on track!

    Morning everyone,
WI today with a 1lb gain.... didn't keep a proper track of syns this week and had a blow out day on Wednesday for no reason whatsoever. In true sulky style I have just eaten 3 - yes 3 - breakfast pastries........
Not even having veg chilli two days on the trot (key word there) helped me this week  :|
Since starting to post here 8 weeks ago I have lost the grand total of 4lb - 1/2lb a week. A bit frustrating, but I will plod on.
I didn't run today as yet again woke up too late, plus it's drizzly rain here in Kent. I have a 45 mile hike planned for next weekend with my sister. We are carrying all our kit and camping Friday and Saturday nights. I want to run at least twice this week before the hike, so will plan for tomorrow and Wednesday to give my legs a rest day before the hike. Food during the hike will be of the carb variety and not on plan at all, due to availability/what we can carry. Will probably WI before I go on Friday as won't be able to on Sunday.
Back to today...I am doing a roast later. Need to purchase everything for this as no veg left in the house and when I went to A!di on Monday they didn't have any extra large chickens left. We are popping out to look at paint for the hallway, so will hunt and gather on the way home. Will be doing ironing mountain whilst it cooks  ;)
Bubbs - ouch, that sounds really painful x
    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy xx

Just draw the line and start again Coxy.  We all have weeks like that.  I managed to get to target losing only 1/2lb a week.  It takes a while but you'll get there eventually.  In fact it's more likely to stay off if you lose it slowly.

Good luck with your plans for this week.

At least you've lost coxy. Think positively. Do you know why you sabotage yourself? The average croissant is 9 syns so that's almost 2 days worth in one meal. What matters though is did you enjoy it?

Confession time for me too although not ice cream or pastries.  Foolishly I took DH shopping with me on Friday and we bought crisps.  Enough said.  ☹

We're having lamb again today, another joint from Aldi. I had planned pork but they had very little to choose from. No hardship having lamb though, I love it. 😋

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried egg and bacon (P), HEB tost, HEA milk
    L- JP (F)  Bolognese (P,S) and pickles (S)
D- roast lab (P), SW roast potatoes (F), carrots & swede mash, red cabbage, white cabbage, kale, cauli, broccoli
Syns- gravy 4? weekend wine

I don't go to Aldi very often as I don't really like our local one so I go to the next town and use Lidl for most of my shopping.  Not had to buy any meat recently though as still using the stuff I bought when I had an online order at the beginning of lockdown.  Not much left now but as we're off on holiday. for a week next month and then the whole of September I shall make do with what's left plus a few meals using some veg.

Currently making a butternut squash & chickpea coconut curry for dinner tomorrow night.  Had half a butternut squash left in fridge from when I did the veggie chilli so needed using.  Once cooked and cooled it will go into the fridge.  When I reheat it I'll just need to add some defrosted frozen spinach and cook some rice to go with it.  It's 3 syns for the 100ml of light coconut milk per portion but I can live with that!

He does!  He said is that with beef or lamb, LOL!  He'll cope - he knows what he can do if he doesn't want to eat it!!!!  Have to stay it smells lovely.  Have had a little taste and it's certainly got a bit of a kick!  Just hope it's not too much though as haven't got any yoghurt left to cool it down!

  • I feel your pain on oversynning Denise, I overdid it by 15 on Friday, pulled 10 back yesterday and probably the same again today, so at least we know it can be done. Going to have a banana split later, not had one for years, so looking forward to it. Trying to decide whether to have creamy garlic chicken or bolognese pasta bake for dinner, have made both so that I can portion & freeze 😋
A smile costs little but creates much :)
