I think the way the tests work is that when you test positive you'll have had the virus already for a while (takes time to incubate) whereas contacts could have picked it up from you on the day you were tested so they have to do the maximum 14 days. It's hard to get your head around. Most importantly, she's not really feeling unwell with it so should make a really good recovery.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), bacon, fried egg (P), HE toast, HEA milk
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), spring onion and beetroot (S)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P), SW roast potatoes (F), many, many vegetables (S)
Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine1 -
I'm home! Didn't have the cheese on toast in the end but another tin to get it out of the way! There was far too much so there is enough left for DH and I to have for another lunch so that will be frozen until I have plenty of syns available as 1/4 of the tin was 10 syns!
I think after today I will draw the line and start again and try to keep low syn until WI on Thursday morning to see what the damage has been after so many syns this week!
Service will be back to normal from tomorrow, LOL!

Now you can have a good night's sleep denise. 😴
I agree that all you can do is salvage what you can from this week and then restart from Thursday. I'll be much the same as having football on Thursday and Monday this week has not been SW friendly.😉 🍷2 -

Morning everyone. Welcome back denise, sounds like you had a nice trip all be it with an uncomfortable bed. maman and bubbs, can you share your recipe for the KFC coating please? Always looks delicious! Congrats TIE on the loss, hope the school can get everything in place by September to make going back as stress-free as possible for you.
Had a lovely 3 days off work at the end of last week; spent my days just reading and relaxing. Yesterday we went for a socially distanced picnic in some gardens local to us; was very off plan as I made lemon drizzle cake and scones (which i had topped with lots of jam and clotted cream) and then we shared a bottle of prosecco when we got home. Feel a bit bad saying that I actually lost 2.6lbs when I weighed in this morning but that's because I had lots of water weight last Monday and was an on-plan angel most of this week apart from treats yesterday. Straight back on plan today though -
B - Toast (HEB & 3 syns for Flora Light), apple
L - Ham salad (mixed leaves, pepper, red onion, tomatoes, cucumber), 2 syns light salad cream
D - Lasagne (1 HEA & 0.5 syns), saladEmergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Definitely had a better night's sleep and my legs feel much better too so definitely looking like it was the bed causing the problem. When we strip it later we're going to turn the mattress to see if that helps but when we use it again it'll probably only be a weekend in case the same happens again. If that doesn't work then we'll just get rid of it and perhaps see if we can get another one or just stick with the motorhome even though it isn't very convenient in the UK unless the campsite is near a bus stop, although still not certain I'm ready to travel by public transport.
Right back on plan from today!
B - bacon, egg & beans (mushrooms got dumped as they looked horrible!) - P; F
L - cheese on toast (there was a loaf in the freezer so didn't need to go shopping yesterday!) - HEA2/HEB
D - jacket potato, beans, salad - S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned

Well done on your loss ruby. Just enjoy it regardless of why!
I wouldn't worry too much about your picnic yesterday. It'll probably show on the scales but when I think of all the restaurant meals I haven't had in the last few months a few extra syns at home is justified IMO.
This is the recipe I use for the fake KFC. I think it's what bubbs told me about.
https://basementbakehouse.com/2016/01/homemade-kfc-chicken/
Obviously, other stock cubes are available.I've found that 6 tbsps of 'Smash' and 1 egg is sufficient for 4 chicken thighs. Thighs are definitely tastier than breast fillets even if they don't look so pretty. That's another tip from bubbs. I add salt and pepper as well plus a pinch of tarragon and coriander leaves but that's just because I want to use them up.
Buying the potato powder has been a bit hit and miss during lockdown. I preferred the coarser flakes from Tesco own brand to Sainsbury's which is very fine but it all tastes much the same. The best one was a really cheap Tesco brand called Bramwells but that's not been available lately. I think Asda do a Smartprice one too but that wasn't in stock either when I was there.
Hope you get to sort out the caravan bed denise. Is there any way you could replace it if necessary rather than ditch the caravan. Seems drastic.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- cold meat (P), fried potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- baked salmon (P), new potatoes (F), asparagus, broccoli, cauli steak, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
Syns- HP sauce 1, wine

Thanks so much maman (and bubbs), I'll be adding that to the meal plan for next week and make sure to pick up the thighs which I prefer anyway.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171

Hi all,
Been AWOL this weekend sorry. DH was away so routine out the window. Met my mum at outside venue lunch on Saturday. Had smoked mackerel on sourdough toast - the gift that keeps on giving, even hours later. Friend had a bbq later. I didn’t eat bbq but did have a few cheese and crackers and some rum n coke
Yesterday I just ate trash all day - no fruit, no veg - really awful. Made chicken supreme from 50 golden greats book for tea - lovely AND used quark with great success!WI yesterday with a 1lb loss but need to get back on track. 3lb until my next stone bracket and I want that before I go away on 1 August.Welcome back Denise - sorry you had rubbish sleep! Food looking lovely as always Bubbs
Going shopping tonight as no veg apart from a butternut squash sized courgette from mums garden. Children hate courgettes so will need to disguise it in something. Might make veg chilli and freeze it - there’s a plan!Have a good day all

We've turned the mattress over maman and DH says it feels softer but who knows until we've tried it! It would be difficult to change as it would need to be made to measure because it's shaped rather than rectangular like a normal mattress, so could be very expensive and then no guarantee it would be any better!
Picked a couple of decent sized courgettes this morning and counted how many more very small ones there are on the 2 plants in that pot - there are at least another dozen on there which will be ready over a period of time. Haven't grown courgettes for a few years and could only find yellow seeds this time but they are definitely more prolific than the green ones I grew last time, although I missed a lot of those due to holidays and they definitely benefit from being picked regularly.
Coxy I think chilli would be a great way of using the courgettes to get them into the kids if they don't like them but to be honest I can't see what there is to dislike about them - they're all water like cucumber and kids always seem to like that!
Right, off to get the bedding in from the line and it looks dry. Have managed to wash and dry 6 machine loads between yesterday and today! Five lots have been folded and put away too so it's just the bedding left now.
