Hope everyone’s doing ok with the lockdown.

Welcome back Beth.  Of course you're welcome.  If you'd find it useful you can post your meal plans on here and we can spot if you're doing anything that could be done better, like eating more Speed foods for example.

The same applies to you Moll.  What a lovely friend!  She's right it does help to write things down, which is one of the reasons I post my plans on here, it's also good to chat to people to understand SW!  Although my DH eats SW meals he still doesn't get it and I've been doing it nearly 10 years now!

It's another Green day for me today:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; F; S
    L - carrot & lentil soup - S; P; F
    D - mixed bean goulash & rice - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - may have a couple of G&Ts or Rum & ginger beer this evening, definitely not wine it runs away with the Syns!

As it's a Green day I've still got another HEA and HEB to have if I want something later but doubt I will need anything.

I'm just cooking the dried mixed beans in my Pressure King Pro, hope it works as it's the first time I've used it for dried beans!  I've pressure cooked them on the hob before and that works but it's more difficult with the electric one as I'm never sure how long to cook for as it doesn't seem to take as long as on the hob for some reason.

I suspect it's because I needed to take it out this morning for about 30 minutes to cool the yoghurt down but it went back in straight after that, that was about  8am.  It went back in again about 7pm tonight so I'll give it a go again tomorrow with some bought yoghurt rather than homemade.

Yes i guess this what it was, i put mine in the morning once when i forgot the night before and it was just like really cold yoghurt 🤣

Regarding the fruit - now I am only shopping once a week it goes off so quick so think I will resort to today's big shop and a quick dash in/out M&S on Sunday - never have to queue to go in the branch on our high street

Good to see you Beth and Moll. Keep posting, it really helps.

My DH is a bit like Denise's. He eats SW meals that I make for him . He makes me SW breakfasts from a list that I've given him. Beyond that I don't think he really gets it. Seeing bacon and some beans in the fridge he's just offered to make me beans & bacon on toast for lunch . Very kind offer but he doesn't seem to have worked out how HEBs work. I don't eat very much fruit chieveley. DH eats it with his (non SW friendly) muesli. His pears, grapes  and bananas have been fine and he eats dried dates too. I've explained about Speed and Free but....  I think places in shopping centres where most other things are closed might be quieter so saves a lot of queuing. :

    Back soon. :

My DH is very good at doing a SW fry up at the weekend!  In fact he's better at fry ups than I am :).  Just back from shopping and spent more than I had hoped but did have a bit left from April's budget so only spent a small amount of this month's.  I buy my eggs from the butchers and last week when I tried to get eggs on Tuesday he told me they come in Thursday morning so I got there about 12 and they still weren't in so going to have to go out again tomorrow as haven't got enough eggs for the weekend fry up!  Really annoying but I can't manage without eggs.
