I'd of definitely gone back to bed!  I try not to get up before about 7 o'clock otherwise the day seems really long!

I had another look in my washing basket and decided there was enough to a whites wash.  Forgot I'd taken the pillow cases off the bed in the caravan so had 4 there plus loads of tea towels, some socks, t-shirts & underwear, so definitely enough for a wash load.  It's in the machine now, nearly finished and then I'll hang it out for a couple of hours as long as the rain holds off.

It's dry and bright here but much cooler than last week. Hopefully we'll have a walk this afternoon.

We're having KFC tonight but I'm trying thighs for the first time. I'm sure we'll enjoy them just as much. It'll be interesting to see what DH thinks.

I've got a file of favourite recipes in my kitchen and a box of others. The ways it works is that I cut out/print/write down a recipe that appeals and put it in the box. After I've tried it, if it's a keeper it goes in the file. The box is a bit full so I'm going to go through it and tidy it up and KFC is definitely going to be elevated to the recipe file.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried egg, ham (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- JP (F) with cottage cheese  (P), spring onions and pickles (S)
    D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F) , mushrooms, broccoli, tomatoes (S)
    Syns- weekend wine!

I've got a pile of magazines I need to go through and cut out the recipes I want to use and get rid of the rest of the magazine!  I did a pile a couple of weeks ago but can only chuck out so many at a time because they are heavy in the recycling bin!

I've also got 2 files - one with recipes I want to try (bit like your box maman) and another one with recipes I use.  The big file has all sorts in it and really needs sorting out as there's loads of stuff I'll never cook again in it.  The smaller file I only started fairly recently to keep the good recipes together.

Yay I am still here but MSE chucks me out every now and again and then I have to scramble around and log back in, never straight forward *rolls eyes*. Did the Zoom mtg this week, just to keep my hand in and don’t pay now as target member, but won’t be doing it every week. Being fairly good SW wise, but baking cookies every now and again, although giving most of them away.

Bubbs let us know how you get on with the icecream maker. Always meant to ask which one you had as I fancy one, using yogurt for pud seems ideal. I went to Aldi late one evening, now they are open til 10pm, was great, no Qs. But no bananas, no eggs, no flour. So went to big Tesco on way home for eggs & bananas, nobody has flour. Well local deli apparently does, need to investigate over w/e.

Hope we are all as well as can be and being mostly good, polishes wonky halo, enjoy your weekend.

I know you said you'd got an expensive one but didn't realise you'd gone the whole hog with one like that!

How can people forget they've got to queue!!!  It's just a given now when you go shopping.

Right, I have a question for everyone:

I'm sprouting chickpeas at the moment to give a bit of texture to my salads but the thing is do I count them as Protein (as chickpeas are) or just Free (which is what bean sprouts are)?  Bit of a conundrum there, methinks!
