That looks yummy as ever bubbs. 😋
I'm having wine syns tonight, drowning sorrows after the football. ☹️
Just a thought for MrB's lunches. There's a recipe on Slimming Eats for tuna and couscous patties that would make a change from Scotch eggs. 🙂1 -

Funny how your hubby will eat practically anything indoors but not at work. Still as you say at least he's got a week off next week so you won't have to worry!
Can't believe the weather this morning! I got woken up by the rain about 4 this morning and didn't manage to get back to sleep so got up about an hour later so it's gonna be a long day today! The thunder and lightening around 6 was really bad and by 6.15 the rain was really heavy and loud. Made to glad to be in the bungalow rather than the motorhome or caravan, where it always sounds even worse!
I've made a bit of a c*ck up of today's menu and will be using 11 syns on lunch so even if I just have a couple of rum & ginger beers I'll be over on syns so may well leave having a drink until tomorrow night!
Todays plan:
B - overnight oats - oats, yoghurt, sweetener, mixed frozen fruit, frozen cherries - HEB; F; S
L - doner kebab, salad in pitta bread - P; S; 11
D - tuna steak, garlic & herb wedges, peas, courgettes (both from garden); in creme fraische 1.5
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge oats
Syns - lamb mince 4; pitta bread 7; creme fraische 1.5

Oh bubbs, you're going to make me paranoid all day today; I've got a summer dress on for the first time in ages and I'm going to be checking I haven't got it tucked it constantly!
Really didn't sleep well last night because it was so hot. Don't think we got rain like yours denise, but we certainly got a little. Somehow feels hotter today than yesterday even though it's not.
Have officially run out of salad bits - never known myself to go through so much salad before so will pop to the shops in a minute to top up for lunch and our BBQ dinner tonight.
B - 2 boiled eggs, pile of mushrooms, strawberries and blueberries
L - Salad (mixed leaves, cucumber, tomato, grated carrot, peppers, red onion, gherkins, beetroot)
D - Wholemeal roll (HEB), 2 Sainsbury's extra lean burgers (2 syns?), cheese (HEA), skinless chicken thighs in nando's marinade (1 syn), salad, coleslaw (3 syns), beer (3.5 syns)
Having a heavier syn day today because of the BBQ this evening. Can anyone check to see if the Sainsbury's burgers are 1 syn each? It's the extra ones made with 5% fat mince (and yes I know I could have made my own but I'm lazy) Might also have some ketchup on there so will take me over my 10 syns for the day but I'll still have 40 in the bank till they reset on Monday so not too worried. Have been keeping up with the exercise and have almost finished week 7 of my program, so 1 more week to go and then it's on to the next one!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Morning all. I haven't checked in for ages, things have just been manic here!
I've been off-plan most of the week and put of 4lb today. Completely expected so I'm not beating myself up and I aim to lose it over the next couple of weeks. It's been so hot that any walking/exercising other than strolls with the dog has been completely abandoned.
Bubbs - I'd be giving him a couple of magazines/recipe books and telling him to sort himself out - but then I am completely heartless!
B - Skyr, raspberries, 1/2 grapefruit
L - Ham salad + satsumas, or courgette omelette (depending on the heat!)
D - Salmon and veg
Syns: Nothing planned except maybe a small glass of wine tonight. Definitely can't justify weekend wine ATM!

As long as you're happy with your choices CTWD. There's no point beating ourselves up over going off plan. I think just by keeping in touch with this thread we're more likely to keep trying again. I've got to the stage where eating SW food is my default position. I always come back to it ASAP but I make conscious decisions to go off plan sometimes. I had some wine syns last night so ideally I'd not have any today but not making any promises at the moment.
I can't see anything described as Sainsbury's extra lean burgers ruby. They have reduced fat at 1.5 each in the chilled section. I used to like the frozen BGTY burgers but they were replaced by others that weren't as good.
Enjoy your lunch denise. Hope it's worth it?
My DH isn't fat but he could be thinner if he stuck more rigidly to SW. He sometimes makes an effort when he needs to lose a few pounds. I'm sure he'd have done so in the past few weeks if we'd have been going away as he'd want to look good in his swimming shortsOn average, he eats all the SW meals I cook for him so 100% for dinner every day. He makes his own lunch which tends to be off plan with sandwiches and biscuits. Breakfasts vary. Sometimes he has the same as me but he doesn't eat eggs so he falls back on his favourite muesli (not on HEB list) with loads of fruit on top.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge with HEA milk
L- JP (F) with cottage cheese (P), spring onions and beetroot (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), carrots, mushrooms, tomato and some green stuff (S)
Syns- tbc

The Doner Kebab was nice but not outstanding. It was extremely crumbly so ended up a bit like lumps of cooked lamb mince but the flavour was good. I'd certainly have it again but would make sure not to have HEB for breakfast, LOL!
My DH eats SW meals - all 3 of them! His problem is what he eats in between, LOL! He usually has a bit of sourdough toast & butter when he gets up; SW breakfast; biscuits and/or cheese sandwich; SW lunch; more biscuits and/or sandwich followed by SW dinner. He often has biscuits, hifi or Alpen bar or a lolly in the evening as well. I don't know where he puts it all if I'm honest!

Thanks maman, I guess I'll syn them at 1.5 syns each then.
My DH does the 5:2 diet thing to "maintain" his weight. He'll eat the same dinners as me 5 nights a week and the rest of the time he eats whatever he wants, apart from Tuesdays and Thursdays where he fasts all day and then has beans on toast for dinner! He is supportive of me eating a healthier diet than him most of the time and is starting the eat the bits of salad that I creep onto his plate from time to time.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Hi everyone,
We too got heavy rain this morning so no running for me. Will go tomorrow instead.Food today:
B - overnight oats (HEB), yog (0.5), cherries
L - ham omelette, salad (S)
D - chicken and salad - family additionally having burgers.Snacks - mini Babybel light (HEA), apple
Syn bank running at 37.5 left until Sunday morning weigh in. Will have a rum n coke tonight for sure
CTWD - great attitude, keep going. My DH seems to have hollow legs too. Always crumpets with golden syrup for breakfast or bacon sandwich. Always bread for lunch (cheese on toast/toasted sandwich) with crisps and Titan/Racer/Jive bar (Aldi lookilikey tastethesamey Twix/Mars/Snickers choc)
We tend to eat SW dinners but he had bigger portions than me. He never exercised yet remains a healthy weight. Not fair!
