Morning all.  bubbs I have no idea what to suggest, and I thought my DH was strange with food when he won't eat raw tomatoes, mushrooms or sweetcorn!

Another day of drinking my weight in water and running to the loo every hour but I definitely feel less puffy.  Good job I'm working at home and just have to stroll the 10 steps to the bathroom :D

Plan for today is similar to every other day so far this week:

B - Porridge (HEB oats, 1/2 HEA unsweetened almond milk), strawberries, blueberries, 1 syn choc pot
L - Cheese (1/2 HEA) and egg salad (mixed leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, pepper, grated carrot, gherkins), 2 syns light salad cream
D - Chicken and Leek risotto with 1 HEA of parmesan, mixed leaves

Have to say I'm enjoying the 2 HEA's - usually I would have synned the almond milk and probably not had cheese on my salad but it was so nice yesterday!  Going to have to pop to the shop at lunch though to get some more salad bits though, this warm weather is also making DH want to eat salad :flushed:
I won't eat sweetcorn full stop, he can't eat tomatoes, and i hate raw mushrooms, love them cooked but raw 🤢
Every hours for the toilet, i wish, mines about every 20 mins 😂
33 degrees outside today not dared look in here apart from it's bleeding hot!!

Another amazing looking salad bubbs.  I meal plan a couple of weeks at a time denise so I know that I can use up all the fresh stuff although this sunny weather has also scuppered a couple of my plans.  DH wants a BBQ on Friday even though it's meant to thunderstorm here.

Speaking of DH, he went and bought some ice cream from the local co-op last night (Strawberry Trifle flavour!) and it was delicious.  Had 5 syns worth (doing the 20 calories = 1 syn calculation) which worked out a measly 55g but it was enough for me and it did taste amazing

B - Branflakes (HEB), skimmed milk (1/4 HEA), strawberries, blueberries
L - Salad (mixed leaves, tomato, cucumber, pepper, red onion, grated carrot, gherkins, 3/4 HEA grated cheese, 2 syns of light salad cream)
D - Mushroom and leek creamy pasta (pasta, mushrooms, leeks, 2 syns of philadelphia light), salad

Might have some more ice cream this evening as I have the syns for it but also conscious that we're BBQ'ing tomorrow which will be a few syns and some of which may be alcohol related, plus virtual book club on Saturday night which will also involve a drink or two.

Hope you all have a good day and don't end up melting too much!

  • Oh hell, I have been given a gift :( An M&S beef & horseradish sandwich. Only 2 of us here and she has one also, so will have no choice but to eat it for lunch, especially as they are so damned expensive. I wouldn't mind, but I actually have brought in a wholemeal roll to make open sandwich with laughing  cow, tomato, cucumber and chicken. Not even going to think about the syns, but at least I have enough time to pull it back before next weigh in

Well done GTQ on the loss, as previously said what goes on quick comes off quick!  Can you not just use what you've brought in and take the sandwich home for DH?  Think that's what I'd do because bought sandwiches are really high syn!

Think I'm going to have to redo my meal plan for the rest of this month and also check the weather forecast!

    Today's plan:

    B - weetabix, milk - HEA/HEB
L - chicken salad - chicken, olives, mixed leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, spring onions - P; S; 1.5 syns
    D - Normandy pork, mash - P; S; F; 2 syns

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - milk
    HEB - weetabix
    Syns - olives 1.5; creme fraische 1.5; mustard/cornflour 2

    Hi everyone,
Well done on the loss GTQ - I concur with joedenise about taking the sandwich home  ;)
Ran 5k today and shaved 30 seconds off my PB from Monday! Was out there at 6.15am and it was already warm!
Have 4 meetings today - 2 Skype, 1 zoom and 1 Microsoft teams. All with my employer who you would think would streamline our ICT....
    Food today:
    B - 2 weetabix, skimmed milk (HEA/HEB)
L - lean ham, couscous (1), lettuce, tomatoes, pickled onions (S) Tsp of dressing (0.5) - didn’t eat it all as too hot.

D - spag Bol - will have only a little spag but add speed salad.
Snacks - banana, apple, carrot sticks
Will use second HEA for Parmesan. Still have 47.5 syns to use before Saturday. Thinking of burgers tomorrow if weather is good again - will use syns.
    Have a good day all.
