Morning all.  bubbs I have no idea what to suggest, and I thought my DH was strange with food when he won't eat raw tomatoes, mushrooms or sweetcorn!

Another day of drinking my weight in water and running to the loo every hour but I definitely feel less puffy.  Good job I'm working at home and just have to stroll the 10 steps to the bathroom :D

Plan for today is similar to every other day so far this week:

B - Porridge (HEB oats, 1/2 HEA unsweetened almond milk), strawberries, blueberries, 1 syn choc pot
L - Cheese (1/2 HEA) and egg salad (mixed leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, pepper, grated carrot, gherkins), 2 syns light salad cream
D - Chicken and Leek risotto with 1 HEA of parmesan, mixed leaves

Have to say I'm enjoying the 2 HEA's - usually I would have synned the almond milk and probably not had cheese on my salad but it was so nice yesterday!  Going to have to pop to the shop at lunch though to get some more salad bits though, this warm weather is also making DH want to eat salad :flushed:
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000

Morning all, looking like it's going to be another really hot day!  Definitely shorts weather but guess what we're having for dinner!  You'll see on the menu plan, LOL!  No washing to be done today nor shopping so going to be a fairly quiet day in the garden or indoors (probably won't be able to sit out for too long because of the heat!).

    Today's plan:

    B - Boiled eggs, asparagus - P; S
    L - pastrami & salad leaf sandwich - HEB; S; F
D - beef stew, mash - P; S; F (making a big batch and hoping to freeze at least another 2 meals for later in the year and not hot weather like today!)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - planned but have 12.5 spare so plenty.  Maybe a couple of hifi bars or a lolly if I want something later

It's baking hot here already. It seems so unfair that I should be able to cool off in the pool or in the sea at this time of the year.

I'm enjoying the extra HEA too ruby. I don't have it every day but it's good to be able to have Parmesan on pasta without synning it. I'll probably put some on today's hash as well. I use Parmesan a lot as you get a lot of flavour from very little weight. Also, I don't really trust myself to buy in too much cheese other than cottage cheese. Parmesan and frozen grated cheddar are much safer

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and beetroot (S)
D- Austrian ham hash (F,P,S) with cauli, broccoli and greens (S)
    Syns- 0

    Hi all,
I got up late so didn’t have the cooked breakfast I’d planned.
No running today - rest day.
B - 2 weetabix (HEB), skimmed milk (HEA)
L - micro egg, grilled lean bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
D - diet cola chicken with rice
    Snacks - Apple (S), banana
    This was lunch.

Change of plan for dinner tonight!  Have decided I'm going to portion up all the beef casserole for the freezer - definitely enough for 3 meals for the 2 of us.

I'm going to make Homity pie and either have with baked beans or I might stir fry some courgettes from the garden which I've picked today.  Will decide later.  The cheese will be my 2nd HEA.  Haven't got a leek so will use a decent sized onion for flavour.

Thanks Coxy.  The problem is I do my meal plan a month in advance so never what the weather is going to be like and I'd already decided I wanted to cook the marinaded beef because it's been in the freezer since before lockdown, probably since the New Year if I'm honest.  The stew veg had also been in the freezer since before Christmas so also thought it best to use that up too.  Problem is I really want to run down the freezer over the next couple of months so that I can defrost the outside freezer but I'm hoping I can move some of the meat from the outside freezer into the indoor fridge/freezer and then I can put the casseroles into their space with room to spare.  There is quite a lot of veg in there too but absolutely no room inside for any of that so really need to be eating what's already inside so that I can bring some of the other veg in too!

I want to empty the outside freezer and defrost it before we go on holiday so that I can actually turn it off to save a bit of money as we're away for a month (as long as the FCO says we can travel abroad!).  Will just have to see how it goes!

Have you looked for ideas on the website?  Doesn't help that he won't have cold pasta and thinks rice only goes with curry!  Don't suppose he'd eat cold curry & rice would he, LOL?  My DH probably would but then he's a dustbin!

Does he eat noodles?  Cold noodles (broken into pieces before cooking) mixed with sweet chilli sauce and something like stir fried or roasted veg might work.  We sometimes have something like that for lunch when I need to make something ready for lunchtime when we're going out in the morning.

He does not eat any form of pasta , can't expect him too when i don't 😂
He was happy with the egg wraps, really liked them, ham & salad, tomorrow he is having them with chicken salad :D
    Evening all :D
