Good morning again you lovely, lovely people 💖,
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you being there for me, your kind words, your support - I am grateful to each and every one of you. I managed a bit more sleep, and feel better for it. Worries always seem to grow and become monsters at 3am. I have a tricky week ahead, but I am going to own it and not let it own me. Thank you again, I love you all xxx
Onto flying, I have unloaded the DW, set the WM going and the dog has had a short walk. I have also watered the grass seed. It's another lovely day, the last for a while by the looks of it. I am going to be very kind to myself today, and we will have a lovely roast later on.
I will pop back on later, love and hugs to all xxxx9 -

Hugs asb, you are doing so well and it cant be easy on your own, did you say you were in school this week? The old saying is true, sometimes you cant change the challenges you face but you might be able to change how you react to them, and it sounds like you are doing that. Keep going xxx And round and others, thank you, all this support really does help, I think people in real life must get sick of me and my troubles so its great to offload here.
Iona I make a chard and peanut stew from BBC good food, it is much nicer than it sounds, I use peanut butter and sometimes ordinary potatoes. Found that it goes a bit mushy when frozen but still OK.
Taking the advice of round, just being today. Still in PJs but have had bacon and eggs and will do my yoga class in a bit. Wasnt quite warm enough to sit out for long yesterday but the sunshine is lovely. I really need to get back to studying at some point but sticking my head firmly in the sand on that one, I have until August to finish now.
Take it easy friends and enjoy your Sunday x9 -
nmm Thanks for the pizza video, looks interesting. Going to use the rest of the coconut flour in a rhubarb tarte tatin this evening with the first pickings of our rhubarb.
Roundtuit Lovely messages to all, thanks.
Don't know if it's any consolation to the poor sleepers that it seemed to be a general thing last night, I slept really badly and I don't know why. Not only did Mr N have a successful discussion with Mr T about his newly-stated vulnerable category which meant we are now eligible for a priority delivery/c&c which will save me sitting up all hours, but as I was actually still on line at midnight I checked the site and immediately found a slot for 8th May which is great. On the phone they said we could expect to see an additional choice by midday today so I could click for priority, so I don't know if the slot I found was just a fluke as I certainly didn't see any extra boxes. Anyway that is a relief to both of us. We've discussed it, having had the 2 Government texts followed up by 2 nearly identical letters from GP and Govt. Both say he should stay indoors until the end of June. We agree this seems unnecessary; nothing medical has changed lately so a daily walk/cycle doesn't seem wrong as we barely meet anyone and distancing is easy.
So far today I've filled bird feeders, watered greenhouse and had various techy discussions with my brother who is moving my web site and email to another company - that's always a bit of a worry in case it all disappears but apparently it is going ok so far. My next plan is to watch the village virtual church service then continue the study blitz. We added a couple of wi-fi extenders yesterday which needed me to drag furniture away from walls so I may as well vacuum behind it........
My mum, who is interested in many things, is apparently listening to some good meditation and advice from a Buddhist monk in Western Australia...... she does meditation anyway, perhaps we all need some. On that note I will go to church.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Well yesterday was another day of not doing much! Dd started well but became ill and I spent 2.5 hours watching her sleep to make sure she was safe (she had a rare chronic condition -CVS) Luckily with rescue meds we escaped a full episode and the sleep did the trick. I did manage to keep up with a quick daily tidy of the RoD so it’s still looking relatively good in there
the 3 loads of WM all got dried but not put away, there are 2 loads upstairs to put away as well….why is it the putting away so difficult?
I fell asleep fully dressed on the landing outside ds’ room around 1am whilst trying to get him to sleep for the night, I woke about 6.30 and flopped in to my unmade bed as dd didn’t finish her home help task, managed to sleep till 9 before the house was up again for the day…I am still in the clothes I had on yesterday as I just can’t function….yes I now how terrible that sounds!
Today’s list –
Shower… I would say dressed but I know full well I will put Pj’s on
Put 5 loads of washing away
Help dd pack away her camp kit and put her bed back where it belongs (moved to fit a tent in her room!)
Quick tidy Rod
Week’s meal plan – should be interesting as we have very little potato options (kids prefer potato over pasta and will not eat rice)
Valli – The scones sound amazing! I am a savour over sweet person
Asb – I totally hear ya, take time when you can for yourself if needed, the dust will still be there
Narc0 – Good news about the shopping slot! We are so desperate for one now but I am not sure we will ever get one
Although I am a single parent, dd had a rare chronic condition and ds a genetic disorder & special needs we are not classed a vulnerable so can't get assistance
Positive vibe to all x9 -

And for ASB and others who are struggling, I thought of you when this hymn was playing:
"Come those whose joy is morning sun, and those weeping through the night. Come those who tell of battles won, and those struggling in the fight."Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9
