Evening all.
Indoor Flying today:
- S&S'd kitchen and bathroom
- made beds
- removed Easter branch (leaves falling off) and put box of painted eggs back in the eaves loft until next year
- WMx1, dried on line, draped on radiators to air
- picked up handfuls of Rosie's fluff
Other achievements (or not):
- waited patiently (doing jigsaws online for most of the morning) for Church Treasurer to proofread a letter I wanted to email out today; gave up waiting at lunchtime and did other things instead
- tried phoning 2 people, neither of whom answered
- rang DS2 and spoke to DGS3+4, as DDiL2 was in the middle of cutting DS2's hair. DGS3 has won the strawberry challenge prize for the first fully open flower - he is very pleased
- served lunch outside: DH shifted his weight on his wooden chair and broke one of the legs - fortunately it didn't collapse completely, so he escaped a fall, but the chair is possibly a write-off, unless DS1 can work miracles with a metal plate
- picked all the edible leaves off the curly kale, purple spouting broccoli, Swiss chard and spinach that I had overwintered in pots; washed it all before bagging up and putting in the fridge - enough for at least 20 portions, I should think! I might need to cook and freeze the chard leaves (of which there are rather a lot) or they'll go bad before we get round to eating them.
- pulled up all the stalks and binned them (our green bin collections start again next week), moved the pots and swept all along the base of the wall behind them
- took Rosie for her usual walk
- cooked veg curry with loads of chard for tea
Now returning to online jigsaws as I CBA to watch yet another railway programme introduced by M. Portaloo....

Evening all ( **creeps in under the radar**)
So - very little in the way of flying has been achieved over the past 24 (or is it 48??) hours.Yesterday was a full on day at work. So much so that I REALLY deserved that glass bottle of wine that evening. But on the plus side, I got a new-to-me fruit and veg box delivery from a fairly local family company and it was amazing. I never knew that to see a banana could give me so much happiness! This is one lockdown habit that I might continue.
Today I have (in no particular order):
finished digging and weeding a bed at the allotment
planted out broad beans - finally
cleared out the greenhouse
cooked a chicken dinner in the sc
made a loaf of olive bread
WULTD and given the kitchen a quick s&s.
I am now listening to DH blasting Jimi Hendrix through his headphones. One day he will grow up....8 -
Hi all, sorry I have not posted much all week been plodding along doing jobs, today was spent in the garden, I dug all the borders out and threw some compost/top soil into them then planted lots of wildflower seeds. Day ended in a battle with a hosepipe, all sorted and tidied away now.
Narc0lepsy, I read your comment about the Gluten Free pizza base it reminded me of a youtube video I watched recently, the pizza base is made using just three ingredients - cauliflower, egg and goats cheese, its from a couple on a narrowboat, my future dream lifehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxE6tfwyB9I

Well, DS & I walked the dog. I finished off the windows by the front door, seedlings have been put to bed. Pizza was ordered for dinner (thanks to DS) and we played yahtzee as a family this evening. Needless to say, no paperwork was done! There is always tomorrow....
I may go to bed soon, and make a new start in the morning. You see? I am full of good intentions!! 😂😂8 -
Wide awake since 3am. Something in particular really causing me anxiety and upset, I’ve just had a good sob. If I could have some FL strength I would appreciate it. No doubt DS will be up at 6 as usual so for now I will try and nap.8

Asb - Flylady calming and strengthening vibes are winging their way to you xxx. You must be exhausted, with two lively youngsters to keep safe and educate, with no chance of a break. I remember how, when I was first on my own, I used to burst into tears over the slightest thing and how unfair my situation felt - and I didn't have lockdown or young children to add to my worries. Just take things one day at a time and know that you are doing brilliantly and you don't have to be supermum 24/7: just Mum is enough, and your needs come even before your kids' needs, so rest up whenever you can.
Rosie is asking to go outside, so I must leave my warm nest and will then settle down at my desk to write a letter and hopefully get one thing crossed off today's list before breakfast. Stay safe, everyone xx
