Morning...I am back......trying to sort quarantine food last week put me in total paralysis, and it's still not properly marked up, so everyone will just start chowing down on as a free for all
and I've lost best part of a week of flying.
Going to follow listy today.....I am going to spend some more time in the garden today as I made mistake of pressure washing the patio yesterday, but didn't get it finished.....so I need to dig deep and find some motivation for that...
Never mind......I need to get some progress made ....I need coffeeThe cold never bothered me anyway14 -

Morning all,
Thank you for the thread, and I hope you are feeling better Natty. Narco - is it your birthday? Many happy returns if so xx
Sluggish this morning, I had a few wines yesterday 😏. No alcohol for me at all this week. It's much cooler today, but breezy so I'll get a wash on. We are going to bake a cake, and plan for our new arrival.... we have decided to get chickens! Kiddies are thrilled and I have wanted them for years.Right, I am going to drag myself into the shower, have lovely days all xx14 -
Morning all
Need to crack on with admin jobs - one of which is to write my will. My union offers this as a free service. Took a cheque to PO yesterday to bank. Can take 10 days to hit the bank but saves me traipsing to town and I've had it since March anyway. And I must complete purchase of car insurance!
Gardeners - I need ideas for flowering pants/shrubs that will withstand rabbits in the garden. My primulas are in bloom but they have been caged, as has my raspberry and bay - but I'm out of caging now!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning xx
asb - I have serious chicken envyxx
Narc0 - I interpreted that as it's your birthday today too. Happy birthday to you xx
piggers - I hadn't thought about it - but you are right, it isxx
I had two near-falls last night - no alcohol involved! Both times I was stood, turned, and started to fall backwards!!! That's a new one to me.The first time I grabbed DS's arm to stay upright, the second time I grabbed the bedroom door. I suspect a residual left ear problem lurking from my throat infection last month. That's the ear that causes labyrinthitis occasionally. It doesn't hurt, but it does feel 'full'. I will be careful when turning - falling forwards is bad enough! Falling backwards is not to be encouraged!
Round 1 =
breakfast
get washed and dressed
sort Sweetie's seed and water
feed the birds
put out the recycling
Have a good day

I’m really not very good at this, what has happened since I first signed up 10+ years ago. Anyway thanks for the thread and the thought that goes into it, and to all you lovelies contributing.
I have had a very lazy weekend so far and needed to spend some time chilling which I have done but am back to work tomorrow and will have a very busy day which I need to do some prep for. I also have a load of reading that my boss sent through on Thursday as we finished and said I’ll call you about it on Wednesday as I know you are busy Tuesday. Seriously I don’t know what planet he is on, there were 111 pages in the documentation so that looks like tomorrow night reading although I will challenge him on having realistic expectations.
I have no essential supply visits today so should be able to concentrate on some flying unless Dad calls and says he is short of anything for him and Mum, yesterday was coffee beans! Saturday was DS and fiancée who is now 8 months pregnant (he’s shielding) so took the bulk load of first size nappies that I’d ordered at the start of lockdown. I hope I haven’t over ordered as baby is getting big as she has developed gestational diabetes. He is currently around 6lb 3oz and she is only tiny so I hope all will be ok. Checking again in 2 weeks.
I have flying lists that I created previously in the hope that I would get help from the others but that won’t happen. DD has one of her final assignments due in tomorrow and it’s not going well apparently and DH, well you can’t ask him to do anything, and if I did I’d probably have to do it again myself afterwards.Right crack on, back laters,
love and hugs to all xMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!13 -
Happy Birthday, Narc0! I hope the sun shines for you today. Have a slice of cake on me - for Easter I made a Nigella no-flour chocolate orange cake which I think might suit you (G00gle for it), and there's still plenty left!
I have raced round the house this morning and have
- cleared the DR table except for a small pile of DH's things which I shall remind him to remove
- tidied my bedroom
- sorted the washing into 2 piles - very blowy today, so even DH's jeans should dry well
- rehomed / put away / hidden out of sight various things that were on the top of the CoD in my study
- prepared for something I'm doing this evening
- updated savings accounts details
- sent 2 emails
Now I really must get showered and dressed
Hope everyone has a good day xx

Morning All
Well I have been out of commission since last Wednesday with a mouth abscess/infection - finished my antibiotics yesterday and my face is back to a normal size but is still sore. Still taking it easy as I don't want it to flare up again but will try and get a few things done.
Happy Birthday Narco!
I've put the WM on and asked DS to put the washing on the line as it's his blanket.
I think I'm going to wash the dishes and then wash the filters in my hoover as I'm not quite up to hoovering yet so they will have time to dry.
Have a good day all
Hugs

Valli, there is a list of rabbit resistant plants in the leaflet you can download from this page.
Round, please be careful!
asb, I have chicken envy too - I grew up with chickens in the garden: my mother used to buy a dozen fertile eggs and hatch them in the airing cupboard, and then we kept the chicks in the kitchen under an old nursery fireguard until they were too big to escape from the chickenwire pens outside - but I don't think Rosie would leave hens alone. I have to make do with hen-sitting for DS1 when they go away.
Still not showered and dressed, but more admin done - must get moving now!13 -

Ouch juliejim glad you are feeling better.
Thanks for birthday wishes it might be a no-fly day, although as Mr N kindly brought me Bucks Fizz and smoked salmon in bed this morning I decluttered it, does that count?
ionafan I made an orange, almond and polenta cake for Easter which turned out well.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.13
