I'm pretty sure that 'most people you know' aren't being totally honest about their financial situations!

I have a feeling that no matter what anyone says - you’ll continually want to blame others - you’ve had some good advice - and can't seem to comprehend that you need to slow down. As I’ve said (already) - slow down - be patient - and in a few months apply for ONE card only. In the meantime try to pay off as much of the two credit cards you have - so that when you come to next apply - your credit utilisation will be at the lowest possible percentage. You haven’t been misled, Mis-sold, or even miss world! You can’t expect to get everything in an instant - it all takes time and patience. For now - go and focus on other things - and then come back in August or September and see how your chances are by then. (And I’ll say it again in case you didn’t notice it / apply just for ONE card when the time is right)

why on earth would you want more credit cards when you can't afford what you have? I think you need to either cut your spending or up your income.
balance transfer for no or little interest

The thing about having too many serches on your credit file is a myth. This has been discussed plenty on here. To get the best deals, bank switches, bonus offers etc it means applying constantly for new products. Plenty on people on here apply for new application all the time and they have huge limits. Does it effect your file? Yes, but not enough to put lenders off if you have a good credit file.

So that is a non issue - the main issue is that i was misled. Accepted, then rejected.

That is not correct.  Constantly applying for fresh lines of credit will only lead to continual rejections for any of the 'better' products you apply for.

So why do you think you are getting rejected is it just because they don't like you?

You have been given good advice on here. There is a reason you have been denied credit - maybe it was because you applied for 3 cards simultaneously, perhaps not.

Either way, look to increase the payments on your current cards and wait six months. Apply for one credit card and see what happens.

The rejection i can handle. That is fine, no issues with that. They dont like my credit file or my history - everyone has different crieteria. No issues with that all. Its usually because of some OLD CCJS and Defaults that i get rejected from most lenders at the moment. Cant help that but time will settle them. Should come off in a year.

What i dont like is having passed the soft check (meaning they are happy with the old CCJ and Defaults i have), offered me the card, sent me all the information, agreed my credit limit and even went so far as to say due to my soft check they cant offer me x interest rate but will offer me x rate instead. That is fine and understandable

Then after all that, they do a hard check and say NO.

So i pass the difficult part in getting pass the CCJ and Default issue but the eas stuff (no missed payments) i fail on. How is this fair? It is misleading!
