I thought I’d just watch the funeral in the background while I got on with things. I wasn’t prepared for how it would grip me and how emotional it would be. I hope her family get some private time to grieve now, they must’ve walked miles following that coffin all over.

Well done on your win 👏

A quiet weekend for me - another one without PL football, international breaks are pants :(

This morning I've been to Sainsburys as we ran out of milk, I've washed my bedding and its on the line already, tidied the kitchen, put all the rubbish out and have just had my first coffee of the day. I need to take Mum to the vet with the dog, he's got an eye infection we think. Other than that the Tesco order is coming this evening, but my plans for the rest of the day involve checking where I'm at with the banking for the month, pottering with more housework bits and that's about it.

Banking checked - I've got £61 left for the month, which is do-able; the shopping that's coming tonight has already been taken out of my account so I just need to get petrol £25) and the rest is for top-ups if needed.

I'm missing the premier league too.  At least my team's new manager has had a couple of weeks to settle in.  I thought the England game was very poor last night.

I didn't even bother with it last night, I like the World Cup but all the pointless in between games drive me mad :)
It is a bit of a manager merry-go-round isn't it! We are in the process of getting new owners so no new manager is expected until that's all sorted.

Happy weekend again! It's been a slog this week ... a student I have worked closely with was sentenced for a major crime this week. Messed with my head a lot, we tried so hard to change the path he was on, it has really made me reflect on the nature nurture debate a lot this week. Work itself has been quite bonkers too, so all in all I'm very glad that we've made it to the weekend and I can rest and recharge a bit.

Tonight I've sat on the sofa with my heated blanket (at least another 3 weeks before the heating is allowed on), and I've checked the end of month banking stuff. Overall I've just about balanced it out and I've got £57 to go into the savings from a maintenance arrears payment.

The original hottie has sent me his £200 payment for this month, that has been moved back into the savings account.

Now onto the new months budget. In my pay this month I've been paid for the couple of days I did in summer school, so that's £110 moved straight into savings, and I've cashed out £40 from Prolific, so that's Octobers £5 a day challenge met already :) It also means I only need to find £120 between now and the end of the year to have met the £5 a day challenge for the rest of the year!

Morning, £2 profit from a little matched bet, first load of washing is on, beds made, bedroom tidy, downstairs tidy, all ready for a good clean later. Ds stayed at his mates last night so I don't have to creep about indoors this morning :)

Today I need to get some bits for my Mum, put some air in my tyres and fill up with petrol as we're going on a long journey tomorrow to see family for the day. Maybe do a Tesco order for this week as it hasn't happened yet, squeeze in some walking and have a lazy football afternoon too.
