5 months to emerge as a butterfly

The first full week of the year done but wow what a historic week. New Prime Minster ... New King ... I am one of those who love the Queen, I'm glued to the telly at the moment, I love the history that is unfolding. 

On to other things - I've sold some drain rods for £10, they were collected just now, that will go into the savings. Food shopping is coming tonight, other than that I have no plans for the weekend now the football has been cancelled.

It feels rather odd getting up on a Saturday and knowing there's no football today. This means I am going to have a day doing other bits and pieces;the usual housework malarky needs doing but other than that I want to get a few little jobs done - fill up the windscreen washer in the car, check I've got spare lightbulbs ready for the winter and if not go and get them, de-junk the laptop as its running fairly slowly, do some stuff on my cards, check regularly for surveys.
 
So far I've tidied the kitchen and my bedroom, put all the houseplants in the garden and watered them, had coffee and that's about it

You posted that at 8.30! What will you do for the rest of the day! 

By that point I had woken up, had tea and eaten some Ginger biscuits!!! And I still haven't done anything!!

Buffy I actually managed a lie-in today, I didn't wake up til 7, I'm normally up between 5:30-6:00

Well I haven't actually done much else today so far ... I remembered it was my nephews birthday so popped round with a card and gift, I've done another load of washing, put all the rubbish out and have sat lots on the sofa. I took ds to get his hair cut and then dropped him at work and am now enjoying some sweets and a Costa that ds bought me while watching the coverage on the telly. Just heard Prince Williams statement and that made me cry again, I think he and Charles will do a grand job x

Morning, shower done, not sure what todays got in store ... I need to hoover and might vax the lounge carpet, other than that the place is fairly tidy. There weren't many surveys around yesterday, I may go for a walk later as it isn't meant to rain. I might go onto the matched betting website and have a read up on there.

Another week has disappeared - work has been fine, I'm actually fairly up to date pretty much which is quite unusual
I did have a nice win on a slot game during the week - £130, which has been added to the savings pot. 

Other than that I had my nails done last night, went round to a mates to watch a film last night and stayed over. Today is a lazy sofa kinda day, watching the football I did get some food bits this morning, posted a Vinted parcel (£3 sale) and went to the local eco / no waste shop and bought a Christmas cake kit and might start soaking the fruit later.

Gosh what a day - I went to one of my oldest friends house to watch the funeral. I thought it was an incredible day, I feel exhausted emotionally now. So proud of all the people involved - the armed forces, the police and volunteers, the security forces ... 

I have made my Christmas cake and that is in the oven right now, the house smells amazing. Not much else to say today really.
