Tyres and petrol are done, Mums shopping is done and delivered, second load of washing is in, bedrooms and bathroom have been cleaned and all rubbish / recycling has gone out. Not sure what I'm going to do with the rest of my day :)

Midweek already, we had Sixth form open evening last night, I wasn't meant to stay but someone was off sick so they said they'd pay me overtime if I wanted to stay so that's another 2.5 hours to add to my pay this month. We also had an email about the tutoring again, I will have one group this year, that will also be some welcome pennies each month.

Today was an inset day so I got out a bit early today and have whizzed the hoover round, done one load of washing and cleaned the kitchen.

Evening all, happy weekend! Glad its the end of the week, not much planned this weekend - a lazy one tonight, the housework is pretty much up together so not much to do this weekend. Tomorrow i need to tidy up the front garden a bit, it looks tatty. Other than that I might do some batch cooking, lots of footie and some walking and chilling.
£5 profit tonight from a matched bet.

Morning, £4 from a matched bet this morning, coffee has been drunk, bed made. I have whizzed round the house and it's all tidy, just needs a good clean. I'll clean it all this morning but can't hoover til ds gets up, it's his day off today so I'm letting him have a lie-in.
Off to get some bread and milk, I have got some mince out of the freezer and will make a shepherds pie or something with that later.

Dinner was lovely - I ended up doing a bit of a concoction in the slow cooker; I browned the mince then used up tonnes of veggies from the fridge - celery, peppers, onion, courgette, beetroot and sweet potato, added a tin of chopped tomatoes and two packet mixes (shepherds pie and chilli con carne). It actually tasted really nice and I have 6 portions gone in the freezer to take to work with some rice or chunky bread.

Today the sun is shining again, ds is working all day, I want to make sure everything's as it should be indoors, finish tidying up the front garden a bit more, then another footie afternoon for me.

You may also have noticed my eye is well and truly off the ball when it comes to my walking and weight. I am struggling to find my motivation again at the moment, I know what I need to do, I know what works for me, but each time I get through a day or two I am giving in to sugar. I know I need to avoid it completely, it is like alcohol is for some people, I can't just take a little bit of it, once I have a bit I am raving it constantly and it is a permanent battle to not give in. So, next August I turn 50. This is my motivation and my goal to work towards. My 30th passed me by as ds was born the week before it, my 40th passed me by as my dads funeral was 2 days before it, so my 50th is going to be a proper milestone birthday. Last night I was thinking about what I want to do for it, I'm thinking I might hire a beach hut for the day and friends / family can pop along as they wish. There are bbq's on the beach you can use, there are volleyball pitches etc, its a great day out (assuming the weather is good, but generally it usually is). Most importantly I don't want to go along and feel frumpy, I want to be in the best shape of my life for my birthday. That's the goal. So between now and then I need to shift at least a stone, preferably two, work on toning up using weights. and generally get back to where I was last year, but a bit further along than that too. I know that once I'm back on track I can maintain it, as long as I don't give in to the sugar. I need to view it as a day at a time. For today I will commit to ... (no sugar, 50 squats etc). Today hasn't started well as I have already eaten 2 chocolate bars. There is only one left in the house, I know that will be consumed before long but then that's it, no more. Here we go again :)

Your 30th and 40th sound like mine. My 30th I had a 6 and 4 year old and was lost in kids. My 40th my mum was dying with a brain tumour and passed away a week later. My 50th was a lot better thankfully. Your birthday plans sound great. Is there a way you could a.low yourself a small bit of sugar planned in so you don’t feel deprived or can’t you trust yourself? Good luck anyway 🤞
