Plenty of sleep again last night but water is more of a struggle when I'm not at work. At home I tend to drink more coffee and tea, at work I chug my water bottle without thinking.
Today I have taken the dog for a walk then taken him back to Mums. I've hoovered the floors and used the carpet shampooer on them too as they were looking quite grubby. All the dried washing has been put away. I still have the bedding to iron (about the only bits I iron these days), and there's a great afternoon of football ahead.
Eating is still going okay too; porridge with berries for breakfast, cod and chorizo fishcake with salad for lunch and I've defrosted a butternut squash curry for dinner. the Tesco shop is due between 8-9 tonight.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

So I have 5 days to get through at work and then I get a week off. Half-term holidays are always very welcome but can disappear very quickly without anything being achieved. So I am going to do a small list, I don't have to do all of it, just pick and choose some bits from the list, it's mainly just some more sorting, tidying, getting things in order before the winter hits:
- Gut under bed
- Gut wardrobe
- Decorate bedroom
- Stock up on lightbulbs
- Fix hallway light
- Sort airing cupboard
- Buy a cheap secondhand tv for the bedroom from marketplace
- Batch cooking and stock up the freezer
- Buy de-icer, find windscreen scraper, top up water and oil in car
- Buy gloves
- Thicker curtain for the front door
- Sand and wax coffee table
- Clean windows
- Continue gutting garage
- Sort ds savings accounts
- Gut shoe cupboard
- Sort all my cards stock
- Continue sorting front garden
- Gut makeup box
- Clean behind sofa (really hard to move it so doesn't happen often)
Let's see how much of it gets done!

That looks like my to do list 😆 I took Friday and Monday off as leave so I could get some jobs done that’ve been on my list for a very long time. Amazon are delivering a shoe rack, coat rack and storage bags today. I hate having time off and nothing to show for it.
Well done on your weight loss and sticking to your plan 👏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Me too Sun Addict, if I don't have a list I will just while away the days and then wonder what I did with it. I do want to get someone to put some shelves in my airing cupboard, the big water tank was taken out when I had a new boiler put in and now everything is just stacked up at the bottom of it. With some shelving it would be good storage space. Hmm, might see if someone from the Tech department at work is free over half-termMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

A straight-forward kinda day today, I've stuck to my food well; porridge with berries for breakfast, leek and potato soup with a roll (no butter) for lunch, some sweet chilli rice cakes for a snack then prawn stir-fry for dinner. Coffee, tea and water for drinks.
I've made a start on my half-term list too, I gutted my make-up box. I must have done it fairly recently as there wasn't actually much in there that's old / I don't use, but it's another job done.
Ds is at work tonight so it will be an early night for me. 4 more get-upsMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Your food sounds nice. It's definitely soup weather now.
the airing cupboard sounds like it's got lots of storage potential.

It's 100% not soup weather here, I ended up taking my jumper off at work and just had a t-shirt, it felt like summer!
I had a thought about the airing cupboard - I was going to get an odd-job man here for a couple of hours to do it and a few other bits and pieces, but then thought maybe I'll buy myself a cordless drill and do it myself for less moneyWatch this space!

Morning all, so finally it's half-term, what a bonkers week yet again, but at least we've made it.
Last night I stayed at a friends and not much sleep was had, so today will be a day of lazing on the sofa, drinking coffee, mooching online and watching football and Strictly
This week my gas/elec direct debit went out, its usually £150 but the first £66 monthly government payment has kicked in so only £84 went. I've moved the £66 I would have paid the £66 that I normally pay as extra but my account is already £500+ in credit, so I have paid it into my gas/elec savings instead.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Morning, so I've been and picked up a secondhand tv from marketplace, spent £30 and will be signing up for sky multiroom which ds is sharing the cost of me for (£5 a month each). Onto the rest of my listMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Morning all, this morning I have been cleaning the kitchen. I planned to get up and do my bedroom but ds is still asleep (day off today) so it didn't seem fair to be noisy really early, so I came downstairs, made a coffee then started on the kitchen. Dishwasher is on, all tiles have been scrubbed, cupboards cleaned, sink cleaned, just need to do the floor later.
The rest of today will also be spent mainly blitzing the house. I do need to go and print a label for Vinted and post that but otherwise it is a getting things up to date indoors kinda day. Ds carried the new tv upstairs for me last night, I just need to wait for the mini skybox to arrive and a new extension lead, need a 5m one as I've only got two plug sockets in my room and they're either side of the bed. The tv is on a chest of drawers at the end of my bed so nowhere near either of themI think I'm going to leave the decorating my room for another time. Once I've had a good sort out and done a few bits in there I think it will be fine.
