I would totally second sudonum-mum’s post.

And also, I am totally surprised at your nerves! I’ve been reading your diary for ages, and I was not not expecting that!

    Good luck on your date!

Thank you all :):) So ... I know the nerves seemed odd, I am usually quite happy meeting a guy and I don't get stressed but this one feels more proper, more official dating if that makes sense? and I also think it is because he is so respectful and treats me differently to every other one I've met online ... there has been barely any flirting, it's all been very decent and that is very unusual online :)

I understand the concern re. him picking me up but again this one seems different as I know the team he works in well. I am more wary these days after the hitter and especially with the Sarah Everard case this week. We talked about that, he deals with a lot of offenders/families of offenders in his work and says how little he trusts the police and how he bangs on at his kids about safety.

Anyway ... the date went really well, the film was great I really enjoyed it. Then we went for a drink and he held my hand on the way to the pub. Had a drink (both had cokes   :) ), then he took me home. When we got here I said that I would invite him in for coffee but ds would be home from work any minute and he agreed that could be awkward :) He said he'd like to see me again and we've arranged to go for a walk today and a pub lunch (he likes hiking). Not sure where we're going yet as everywhere will be massively waterlogged after yesterdays rain. Then we kissed and that was it :):)

All good, he was more nervous than me which is funny as he wasn't nervous at all on Sunday. And he kept commenting that he liked my trousers :):)

Glad you had a good time. You seem happy, and more ready to take things nice and slow with the prospect of something longer term happening.

Todays been a lovely day - we went for a walk then headed to the pub and had a lovely roast dinner, then back to his to chill and watch a film as it was chucking it down with rain. Perfect lazy Sunday  :):)

Happy Saturday! This week has been a long one, not sure why but it has dragged at work. I saw him again last night, he popped over for a couple of hours and we just chilled. This morning I got up early and went down the beach and did a 10 mile walk and bumped into him down there, he was meeting his sea swimming group for an early morning dip, so that was a nice unexpected surprise. He's got his kids this weekend so not sure when I'm seeing him next but so far it is all going well :)

I nearly forgot to mention I also completed my 2021 challenge this week - I have walked the equivalent of California to New York (2021 miles). It took a month longer than I'd planned but I did break a toe and catch Covid along the way, so not too bad I suppose :)

Today I am catching up with some jobs indoors and generally chilling.
