I've had a sore throat / cold this week, plus open evening, so have been hitting the early nights. Yesterday was a total pj on the sofa day. However in better news I did manage to get 2 x Ed Sheeran tickets yesterday for next June, I'm so chuffed as I love Ed and he is possible the only artist I'd really like to see currently, and its nice having something booked in to look forward to.
In other good news I met a guy for coffee this morning that I've been chatting with for a few weeks. It's been very low-key, only a couple of messages each week, but we met up for coffee and ended up chatting for 3 hours and having lunch tooAll very nice and he has said he wants to see me again, so fingers crossed this one will help get the original hottie out of my head finally!

Okay so he's messaged again today and asked to see me on friday. I explained I can't do friday (have a curry night planned with work mates), but am free any other night this week. He replied asking if I'm free Saturday and has booked us tickets to see a film festival screening thing at a local theatre followed by drinks! I'm sooo nervous, it's like a proper date and I don't think I've ever done that
So dear online friends, please help me figure out what to wear!
My comfort zone is jeans and a top but I feel like I need to ,make more effort than that. I have a new pair of black trousers but that feels a bit worklike ... the dresses I've got are either too worklike or too ott for that kinda night, HELP!!! I'm happy to order something but just don't know what kind of thing to go for. We're both 48, yesterday I wore jeans and a skinny jumper for coffee, he wore jeans, trainers and a checked shirt. This all feels too grown up for me, I don't usually so proper datesMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I'd go for some sort of dress - how about midi with either boots or nice trainers? The supermarkets or Next have nice dresses, not too dressy!I really need to sort out a new signature!1

I would go for jeans and a nice top, a blouse but probably not a t-shirt.»The road to DF is long and bumpy » Greensaints1

I'm not much help but those suggestions sound good! Sounds like a really nice evening to look forward to.1

So todays the day - I'm still stupidly nervous
I've decided on some fake leather leggings and a black fluffy jumper - sounds awful but does look nice! It's a fitted, v-neck jumper and is a going out kinda one. I was going to go with trousers and a cami top but decided I'll be freezing in the theatre so would probably end up keeping my coat on which wouldn't work
I've ordered 10 tops this week and tried unlimited combos of clothes and this is the one that I'm comfiest in. I've also taken photos of my favourite 3 outfits and sent them to various mates, male and female, and this was by far the most popular one with them too.
He's offered to come and pick me up, which again is lovely, but freaks me out because I don't know what I;m meant to do when he drops me homeAre you meant to invite them in? and when you invite them in for coffee is it actually coffee or not?? Aagh, can you tell proper grown-up dates are not my thing!
Anyway, on to the rest of today ... I need to sort out the banking for the month ahead this morning, then I need to do the housework, have a shower and do my nails / eyebrows etc, then watch the football this afternoon and basically try not to get too nervousMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Try to relax and just enjoy your date x1

Hope your date goes well.
Personally I wouldn't be letting a stranger pick me up from my house, he doesn't need to know where you live so early on.
If he does collect/drop off then inviting him in for a coffee is code for sex, I mean obviously consent matters but if you are taking things slowly then don't invite him in.
Have you got all his details and given these to a friend along with details of where you are going? Have you agreed a check in time?
Sorry to sound like a mum but you can't be too careful.3
