And I've done it ... I'm 'virtually' at John O'Groats ... I've loved this challenge, I've discovered some lovely places locally, had lots of time to think about all sorts of things and bored myself silly with my playlists

Hi I've just skimmed through your diary, really interested in the sugar detox. I presume no bread then? And no pre-made sauces at all? Is there a link to what diet you followed? Thanks!!!1

Thank you all for the comments re. the walk - I've done 15,000 steps today without even noticing so hopefully I will keep it up moreorless.
Remote Control - for the first 30 days (June) I had no sugar, sweetener, alcohol or caffeine. I had no fruit at all for the first couple of weeks then gradually introduced the odd apple etc. There was no bread, sauces etc at all. Now I have loosened it slightly - I do eat some bread occasionally (wholemeal) and I have fruit most days. I do have the odd drink if I go to a pub as there is literally nothing other than coffee you can have in a pub that doesn't contain sugar or sweeteners. But I haven't had any sweets or chocolate at all which are my biggest weaknesses. It was basically a case of going back to non processed foods - plenty of chicken, fish, eggs, oats, cheese, nuts, veg, salad and some fruit. Drinks-wise I stuck to water of coffee, I mainly had almond milk but have now re-introduced semi-skimmed milk. I have already decided that over Christmas I am going to indulge and treat myself to some nice bits and pieces, but will then get back on it as my heartburn has disappeared and my dodgy stomach (a bit like IBS) seems to have settled down too.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Another weekend is whizzing away, Andy came over last night and we had a curry and watched the football (we won
), then today he went at lunchtime to pick up his kids and I'm having a chilled weekend. I'm trying to get a few bits and pieces done but am not being very productive, not sure why really.
I have done 4 loads of washing, Andy sorted my tumble dryer for me - it has been stored in the garage since I moved into my flat, so that's 13 years!, anyway, it's all working fine and will be very useful.
I've also been to the shops and got a few bits - milk, fruit etc, sorted out a couple of banking bits, and cleared out the fridge but that's about it, I have lots more I should be doing.
So, tonight I'm going to have a nice hot bath, do the ironing, redo my nails and have an early night with the laptop. Maybe tomorrow I'll be more productiveMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Morning, so today is an inset day and as a thank you school have let us work from home for the day
Luckily I am pretty much up to date with everything and did a few extra hours this week so am planning on only doing a little bit today and chilling for the rest of the day. I've done a short walk this morning and have bought bread and milk. Now I'm back indoors with the heating on, my plans for today are to get up to date with some housework bits and get on top of the banking, I feel that I have lost a bit of control of it at the moment - I'm doing okay with spending this month I think but I need to set up some standing orders etc to feel back on top of it again.
Last night I saw Andy, I'm picking him up from work this afternoon and meeting his kids for an hour tonight. Until then my day will involve some housework, clearing my emails, doing some bits for my cards and then sorting banking stuff. Hopefully the rest of the weekend will be spent chillingMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
