Dinner last night was lovely, he really is an open book, very honest and says what he feels rather than trying to play cool, it's so refreshing and takes away all the stress of wondering if he likes me etc that you get in the early days of dating. There are so many daft little things that I love about him, for example yesterday he was proudly showing me the potatoes he's growing in the garden
I know that sounds daft but it's those silly little everyday things that I love, he's just very down to earth and normal and I love that. Hopefully I'm seeing him tomorrow evening, I won't be staying over as I am back to work on Thursday but it will be nice to just spend some more time together
I know it probably seems very soon after Mr S but I know I am totally over him, I don't even think about him anymore, I'm not angry or bitter about it I am just glad to be free and away from him.
Today and tomorrow I am trying to cram in lots of last minute bits and pieces, crossing bits off my to do list before the madness of school kicks in again. I've been for a walk this morning and done 9,000 steps so far today, 30 days left to complete the challenge, 540,000 steps to go which works out at 18,000 a day - I will still aim for 20,000 a day on non-work days but at least on school days I don't have to go so far
First load of washing is on the line, second load is in the machine, dishwasher is on, ebay parcel has been parcelled up ready to post, postie has just delivered a new cutlery holder for the dishwasher that I ordered as mine has two holes in the bottom and it all keeps falling through. Time to get on with some more bits from the list

Morning, so last day of the summer holidays, last day of the 6 month "being at home" that has become my new way of life and I love it. I have had an absolute blast this summer, life has changed so much for me since lock-down began. In that time I have walked almost 1,200,000 steps (will get to that point later today), shifted almost 2 stone (need about 1 - 1.5lbs more to get there) ... I've shifted 14 stone of Mr S
and have had a lovely time meeting new people since him, resulting in me very unexpectedly meeting a really lovely chap who makes me very happy
Let's see what this term brings, I'm sooo looking forward to seeing my kids again
Today I am tying up loose ends and getting a few last bits done - I've stripped my bed and that's all now on the line drying, done 11,000 steps so far, had my shower and breakfast, parcelled up a few bits to post, emptied the dishwasher and just put the 3rd load of washing on. I need to sort a couple of banking bits then later today someone is popping in to see ds (social care worker), then I'm off to see Andy for a bit - we're having a cosy supper then snuggling up to watch a film

Yep I did
I am not a good judge of men, my track record shows that
My best mate begged me to find someone who isn't "my type" as my type treat me badly ... so this time around I went in with a much more open mind, and have been very pleasantly surprised so far. He is what I normally go for looks-wise but actually this time I was more looking for my mentally prepared checklist to feature some ticks and actually he seems to be very similar to me in so many ways. Silly things like he is really organised and likes to plan stuff ... Mr S was always a spur of the moment / change the plans kinda guy that drove me mad. Andy is kind, honest, open and happy doing day to day stuff like me that Mr S called me dull and boring for ... stuff like walking along the beach, making extra portions of dinner and then freezing it for another day or making it into a packed lunch for work the next day ... I know they are really daft minor things but I haven't ever found a guy who does that sort of stuff before
His kids are his number one priority, as they should be. He doesn't have much money, this doesn't bother me at all because actually that is because the money he earns goes on his rent, his child maintenance, running his car, paying his bills and then he has a little leftover. Like me. He had debts from a previous relationship, he sold his pride and joy car to pay them off. Almost all of the furniture in his flat is second-hand / has been recycled / repurposed by him as he couldn't afford new. I love that he has the same attitude towards money and materialistic stuff as me. Those sorts of things are so much more important than whether we like the same music etc. He does like football but isn't crazy about it like me but that's okay

Popped round for the evening last night , had a lovely time - lot more chatting about nothing in particular, all going very well still
Ds knows about him now and seems fine so far - he is coming round tomorrow for a couple of hours once he's dropped his kids home, not sure yet if ds will be home or not.
When I got home today I have done the food shopping, walked the dog and now watching a Bournemouth friendly. I will go for a proper walk afterwards as I have only done 4,000 steps so far today.
Oh, and I weighed myself when I got home - I have now lost 2 stone, must be all the extra calories w burned last nightMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
