This morning I have been to the garden centre and bought some plants for the garden ... where we had been redoing it we hadn't got to the point of getting any plants yet, so I have bought several and planted them in containers, it does brighten it up a bit :)
I will move the money from my household budget to cover them.

Today has been a no spend day x

The leg is getting better but I am not doing my steps for a few days. I have set myself a challenge for the summer holidays - I aim to do 20,000 steps a day :) It is a big step up from where I currently am, I manage 10,000 a day no problem but some days I do have to walk around the lounge for a bit to get there. I'm hoping it will help me go out more as I am worried that I will have a tendency to sit indoors a lot over the summer which isn't good for my mental health.

Tonight I was cold when I got home so I have just had a hot bath, put my comfy joggers and hoodie on, bunged a chicken in the oven to cook and am having a chilled evening. Tomorrow is a work from home day and tomorrow night I have arranged to meet Mr S to watch the football at the pub. I am a bit apprehensive but also know I look good at the moment, lots of people are now commenting on my weight-loss and how clear my skin looks :) We have agreed we will just talk about the football, not about us at all which I'm happy with. We were supposed to be going to this game and have been looking forward to it all season, so it will be nice to watch it together. I wouldn't be surprised if he cancels though, it's one of those that does feel a bit odd. We'll see :)

I think I need to start planning my summer holiday to do list soon too, it won't be as chunky as normal as I have got quite up to date with a lot of stuff over lock-down, but I'm sure I'll still manage quite a bumper list :)

So following on from my post saying I'm going to do 20,000 steps a day in the summer holidays, I have found myself a proper challenge to do - the Diabetes UK Million Step challenge. The challenge runs from 1st July - 30 September so I am already a few days behind, but basically you choose a target to complete and the website links to my fitbit to keep track.
I have gone for 1,700,000 steps, which is the distance from Lands End to John O'Groats. I need to do roughly 20,000 a day to complete this. Wish me luck!!

    2 days of the challenge done - day 1 = 20,844 steps, day 2 = 23,045 steps :)
This morning I took the dog for a walk down the beach before work, then tonight I arranged to meet a chap I've been chatting with for a walk along the beach. In theory he should have been ideal - a fellow Bournemouth supporter, doesn't drink or smoke, his guilty pleasure is watching Four in a Bed (me too, never found anyone else who likes it (he mentioned it first)) ... but I didn't fancy him even a smidgeon :( Never mind, was good to get myself out of my comfort zone again and try and it was a nice 6,000 steps without even noticing as we were chatting :)
