The icon says the laptop is charging but the battery is getting lower and lower and is going to run out any minute. I'm now on the work laptop but it doesn't have any of my spreadsheets on here or any of my favourite sites saved etc. The pc place isn't open until tomorrow but I will be taking it there to try and get it fixed. This is turning into a very expensive month
Today is the day we should have been off on a 2 week cruise to the CanariesThis morning I decided to do a bumper walk as the football is on this afternoon and I wanted to get them out the way today. I went down to the beach and walked and walked, managing 18,000 steps
However there were 3 cruise ships parked in the bay which did not help my mood
So, an hour and a half or so until the footie kicks off, I will try and get a couple of jobs done from my summer list.

When my battery gave up the ghost I just used to use it plugged in until I could afford to get a new (refurbished) one. Got a refurbed Dell from Ama*on for £99. It's a bit slow but at least it works!

Morning, another long walk along the beach this morning which means I've hit my 20,000 target for today already
This afternoon I need to sort the car insurance, sort a plumber (neither have got back to me since Sunday) and then do some general pottering and housework.
Spends today = £20 on a few bits in Primark, a coffee in Costa and a t-shirt in H&M

Wow. I did 7000 this morning and am SHATTERED.
Huge admiration XXX
(surely 20 quid in Primark = whole new wardrobe including shoes)
Nevertheless she persisted.2 -
Thanks Buffy, I used to find it an effort to get to 10,000 but my fitness must have improved as I an walk quite happily for ages now, although it must be doing something as my glutes and my hips ache when I get up off the sofa now
I've been to Lidl and got a few top-up bits, another £20 spent but should keep me going for a few more days. I've also taken the laptop in to the PC place to be looked at - it hasn't switched on for days, I took it in and he plugged it in and it switched straight on and said it was 100% charged … he thinks its a faulty battery but will check it out. Hoping that won't be too costly ...
One plumber has got back to me and is coming round to quote for the new bath and shower. More money ….
Guess who started chatting to me last night and said he misses me??! Too late Mister!! I told him he knew exactly what he was doing and he made his choice, felt goodI do miss him but I'm not telling him that, and anyway we both know it doesn't work. I'm in a good place right now, the weight is coming off, the steps are racking up, the sugar is still not being had and I'm feeling good
And I have a coffee date on Friday

Today is finally the day I am getting my haircut
Very much overdue and looking forward to it. I was having it highlighted as well but have cancelled that bit due to the expense of the laptop / bath and shower, and now my kettle has decided to give up too
I've been for a walk this morning, 7,000 of todays steps under my belt, after my haircut I am going shopping as it is ds birthday on Sunday so need to get some bits. Mum is popping round later on for a coffee, other than that I'm not sure yet what today has in store.

Haircut is done, cost a fair bit but am pleased with it
The laptop is sorted, I went to pick it up and they didn't charge me anything, they said they have given me a different charger and that seemed to resolve it, so luckily that hasn't cost me anything
I need to find some motivation to get on with some housework but for some reason it's not happening. Maybe I'll stick some music on and see if that helpsMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
