  • Asking for a friend: They have submitted their form via the microsite to get the tax allowance £6 a day and have then subsequently been informed they will receive a payment from their employer. Is there a good way to unsubmit the form? Can it be left?
  • I believe I am eligible to claim this tax break, however I am also claiming Universal Credit, as a low income household, which combined with my wages is enough to pay the bills each month....just. Will claiming this tax break affect my UC claim? I can’t afford to be worse off that I am now especially as my energy bills have shot up in price!
Many thanks in advance for your help.

You would be better off asking on the benefits section as the members are knowledgeable on work / benefit set ups.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

So by the looks of it it should increase your UC if anything, not reduce it, as work expenses deductible for tax should also be deductible for UC.
  • Hi can I claim this if I currently live with parents?

just come across this and believe I can claim as worked from home for a few days (son had to have a covid test)- my wife worked from home for same time- can we both claim for the same time?
  • Unclear as to wether I am entitled to any tax savings on equipment that my employer did not pay for... went through the HMRC questions and got told no, which seems odd? It had to come out of my own pocket (laptop & printer).
  • Hello

apologies in advance if this has been posted before.
I have been working from home since March. However, we have been told to work from home if possible. In light of this, can I still apply for this tax relief?
    many thanks
