Will applying for the WFH tax relief affect my ability to claim the marriage tax allowance? Both require tax code amendments. Thanks, Olly0

You are either the applicant (the person giving up part of the Personal Allowance) or recipient (the person who gets the Marriage Allowance tax credit).
If you mean you are the recipient then there is nothing you can do to claim it, it is upto your spouse to apply and you will automatically get any tax benefit due.0 -
Hi all, so I get an apportionment of the £6 from my employer for working from home it’s not a full £6 per week. Can I still claim from HMRC either for the apportionment or for the whole amount again? I am so confused as if I wasn’t getting it from employee it was clearer.0

What if you have been working from home as instructed by employer since March and your part time and don’t pay tax due to earning less then £12.500 PA. Can I claim for this?0

I’m a little confused which date to put in for the relief.
I was unemployed since end of December, I then got a job in May but left 5 days later (long boring story) then unemployed until 1st September.
Both jobs this year required WFH, so do I put a date from May as start?0 -

Can anyone clarify for me? In the section on claiming through online self assessment it says 'Instead here you can claim the allowance as part of the self assessment form and HMRC have confirmed to us that for this 2021/22 tax year,' Surely it would be in the 2020/21assessment and placed in the coding for the 2021/22 tax year.0

Unless Covid-19 is still a problem in 2021:22 (but then that would allowing expenses for 2021:22 not a second helping for 2020:21 😳)0
