Old Style Weight Loss 2020 - Part 2

WI this morning - lost half a pound.
Another one here who hasn't been sleeping well this week, I'm in need of that hug blue doggy. And I've felt like I have a sore throat coming all week, but I think its just been mouth ulcers. Its left me feeling a bit low and yucky, not helped as I've also had a bad knee so haven't been able to run at all - mainly due to a couple of insect bites which swelled and blistered up something terrible - I think I'm having to write this week off. Not sure how I lost the half a pound as I haven't really thought about diet. I find that, when I can't taste things properly, I'm constantly looking for something that I can taste - so eating is a bit unruly. Anyway sorry to pop in with my little black cloud - hopefully it will float off for the weekend - and being able to report a half pound weight loss has given me a little boost. Every cloud I guess

Good morning all,
Well done supersaver1000 on your weight loss. Hope you soon feel a lot better and can get back to running xx
I have a nice day planned involving knitting some kittens, seeing my sister (from a distance) and cooking dinner tonight. I had a better night so I feel more on top of things.
My meal plan today will be:
b - cereal and a cinnamon and raisin bagel
l - ham salad sandwich
d - ham and pineapple rice
s - officially out of quavers so will move onto the wotsits
Hope you all have a super-duper day today xx

Just flying by with a hug for supersaver. And congratulations on losing that half pound even without really trying 👏 (it’s sweet when it goes without effort
)
I hope you have a good weekend and soon feel better.
greenbee I’m following a diet which doesn’t mix carbs and fats in the same meal (so strawberries (no sugar!) with - even clotted - cream are fine, scones with jam are fine, but scones with jam & cream aren’t). Yesterday’s potato with chicken was not good, but I was greedy! I don’t count calories, but generally speaking the separation of fats & carbs controls the intake anyway. And carbs, especially sugars, are the easiest to binge on. This diet has worked really well for me, it suits the way I like to eat and I can see myself sticking with it long term for maintenance. But for so long I’ve read about and tried fat-fearing, calorie-counting diets, that it’s hard to admit that I enjoy my buttery scrambled eggs and strawberries with cream 😋 and my diet lets me do it!“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Hello x
Well done to those that have lost xx
Thank you for your very kind comments re my health but I want to persist I just have to fight the desire to eat which is steroid induced. I have a kind of mantra telling myself it is the tablets not real hunger.
Anyway today I weighed in and have lost - yes lost!!!!! 1lb so im very relieved and happy! Mind you its been a blooming hard week and will probably catch up with me next me - Hey lets see. Sending you all positive hugs xxxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.8 -
Morning All,
Happy Friday, not that days really seem all that different from each other at the moment.
Cranky I'm sure the cat was very happy with you for sharing your lunch, if it works out as a diet-aid then it's an added bonus. I hope the bread didn't do too much damage and that you're not so tired today.
Brambling Your old neighbour sounds excellent. My nan's cousin used to teach an "old dears" swimming class when she was older than every one of them. She also took up wind-surfing when she was 80. I hope the garden didn't fight back too much and that the neighbour's recovered from the shock
Blue Doggy Very true, my bed is much more comfortable than the ones where we stay. I'm glad you enjoyed your games with friends.
greenbee I find it very hard to imagine a diet where clotted cream is considered a health food!! I tried low carb ages ago but it really didn't seem to agree with me, I was tired and really ratty all the time. Well done on getting a delivery slot and stocking up on some luxuries, although I consider olives to be an essential food.
supersaver Well done on the loss, especially when you've been feeling yucky and unable to run. Sorry you've been feeling low, have a tonne of virtual hugs and I hope you feel better soon
dumpling Knitting kittens sounds amazing. I'm glad things feel a bit better today and enjoy the catch up with your sister.
Gingerlily Wow, that's the way to start a diet!! Very well done.
Molly Well done for the loss, with everything else that's going on it was a very hard-won lb. Try not to worry too much about whether or not it'll catch up next week, just keep doing whatever you need to do to look after yourself.
Yesterday's food was pretty much as planned although I did have a small bowl of ice cream as well. So far today I've had about a gallon of coffee but nothing to eat. I'll probably have a sandwich at lunch time and then I don't know exactly what I'm having for dinner but I know it'll involve a lot of veg. I'll try to remember to weigh in and pop by on Monday but, as I've got a few days off work, there's every chance I'll forget.
I hope everyone has a great weekend, good luck and stay safe xx10 -
Morning all sorry I didn't check in last weekend, but lets just say it was probably aan STS. Tomorrow morning I will do a weigh in and hopefully it will be under a magic number I have not been able to crawl under yet. Just did a little run, and have cut down on seconds at dinner and snacks - I do think it's helping and I feel slightly smaller but the scales are not playing. Keep at it it's the details that will get you there - xxIsa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Good afternoon everyone,
1/2 a pound on this week which serves me right after eating junk on Wednesday. I should also be watching carbs as I had PCOS and therefore have insulin resistance. A day of bread and chocolate wasn't a good idea but when you feel tired it's so easy to shove something in between 2 pieces of bread. The carbs then set of the sugar cravings and it goes downhill from there.
I'm trying to reduce carbs as much as I can this week to see if I feel more energetic. Right, I'm off to run as even though I feel distinctly unenthusiastic about the idea today, I know that it helps.
Sorry about your holiday Izadora. My sister was due to go to New York for her 50th birthday but that never happened either. I've never looked at the cat as a diet aid before....
Take care all of you9
