Afternoon All
Well done roundtuit and ditty, brilliant losses.
I have had a lazy day today, bit of ironing and I shall be cooking soon but that's about it, hung my washing on the line as it was very windy this morning, despite double pegging everything I still had to rescue my pyjama bottoms from the blackberry bush in the afternoon, good job they caught them else I'd have been knocking next door to claim them back 😂
Yesterday I was not so well behaved, dd made cherry scones, I may have eaten 3 small ones, plus the last ginger biscuit and a couple of bourbons 🙄
Today much better
B fruit with yog, tsp of seeds tsp of date syrup
L salami and salad sandwich, rice cake crisp
d jerk pork chops with coconut, bean rice and pineapple salsa.
maybe a small piece of chocolate with my tea in the evening.
tomorrow is fish and chip day 😋'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Good evening everyone
roundtuit congratulations on that super weight loss 👏 and on your dance routine 💃Ditty very well done on your loss 👏
Well done to everyone who is keeping going with their exercise.
Today was windy and rainy, but has dried up a bit now. Nothing much done today, I went to the local shop for my paper and a couple of bits (nothing exciting or naughty, I’ve just realised I didn’t even look at the cakes and biscuits although I walked right down that aisle).
Today’s food
B : slice of ham with scrambled eggs
L : sardine salad ( celery, radishes, green olives); cinnamon yogurt
D : grilled chicken leg, mixed veg; more cinnamon yogurt
S : none“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Wow Roundtuit looks like resetting worked for you 👏👏 well done Ditty 👏👏 good to see losses
Cranky I think our sisters could be twins (well one of my sisters 🙂) she has ignored various weight related health issues for years and even hospital scares don't work 🙄
A change of weather today cooler and windy with a thunderstorm over lunch for nearly an hour. Even with heavy rain the garden seem to dry quickly in the wind. Sirens at least it wasn't your Bridget Jones' heading next door 😁
i drove down to town this morning (free parking at the moment) and picked up some bits from the few stalls we have for our farmers market, we also have a small shop which sells local goods (including gin 🙂 which I didn't succumb to) it's so small that at the moment you have to stand on the doorstep and ask what they have in and two of them try to avoid each other inside
This afternoon I tidied my cupboard which is combined baking supplies and plastic containers etc, for a single person on a diet I sure have a lot of stuff for baking 🙄 I'll either have to be good or remove temptation to my nephew, i did note that I have all the ingredients to make a Bakewell tart or almond slices 🥺 which I'm usually requested to take to work for my birthday.
foodwise up until dinner I wasn't that good, I wasn't hungry lunchtime and had fruit and then picked all afternoon 🙄. Dinner was a small roast dinner using a small turkey breast from the freezer, it serves three so a couple of cold meals left. I also cooked a small gammon joint when the oven was on

Cranky - thank you! I'd never thought of counting the theoretical gain! To cheer myself up I've been pretending its maintenance practice! I read somewhere serious that after you have been big your body needs 20% less calories than another person of the same BMI who has never been big. 20% less ongoing forever! Sometimes I worry about maintenance.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

Morning Losers.
Sorry to be absent yesterday, when I logged on not only did I have no thanks button, (which I always forget about anyway) but also had no box to post in. I was in a mad rush so couldn't stop to fiddle about.
Shame really, because it was WI day and I can report a one pound loss.
I was beyond thrilled. Even more because of the fish and chip episode of Friday. Now I have 5 weeks to lose the last pound to complete my challenge. I hope it wont take that long, but if it does I won't mind. I'm having too much fun working out this new way of eating.
Roundtuit that is a HUGE success for you. You are doing SO well. I would love to have seen you dancing. Wish I could join you, but my dancing is not to be observed by anyone. My head and my feet simply do not communicate at all.
Brambling I'm another with enough cooking stuff to equip a good sized canteen. This is because I have always cooked for crowds. Starting when my boys were teenagers and I seemed to be running some sort of youth hostel. Actually before that because when I started my school we couldn't afford a cook, so as well as teaching full time, running the school and doing all the admin, I also cooked the school lunches and cleaned the classrooms. The thought appalls me now.
When I retired I started a lunch club at church, catered for wakes, coffee mornings etc, and then got involved in starting a project to feed the homeless. I must have been mad.
Now I still help out at a lunch club and a meal for the homeless, but it's no longer my entire responsibility. I still have the equipment though, you know, just in case. These days though I intend to make full use of my mask when I'm cooking. No more testing, sampling, licking out spoons etc.
Crumbs. I have run on today. Sorry. Someone needs to throw a blanket over my cage when I get going.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I've been lurking on your thread, but not joining in, as I'm now in maintenance and hoping to stay there (I lost 15kg doing Fast 800 and am now working on 5/2 to maintain). But I wanted to drop in and comment on Monna's discovery of mindful eating. It's wonderful to be able to enjoy what you eat rather than see it all as a chore. Lockdown has meant my work travel has stopped, and I'm now in control of my eating as well as having time to cook. Basing my meals around a weekly veg box plus the contents of the freezer and cupboards has meant reading recipe books and being creative (baking mackerel fillets with rhubarb was a fabulous find!). I'm enjoying the cooking, the creativity, the challenge and actually enjoying the food.8

I did 7 minutes dancing this morning - while the fishfingers cooked on one side. The Twist, C'mon Everybody, and then Peggy Sue - so I was twisting round the kitchen to Buddy Holly as that seemed to fit the rhythm
tighteningthebelt - maintaining is some way off for me right now but I understand your worries. I've lost 4 stones three times with SW and then put in straight back on again with more on top. That's one reason that I'm counting calories this time - it's to educate myself. There's a whole lot of dimensions to consider: what's healthy, portion size, enjoying food a la monna, emotional triggers etc etc etc.
Having you lovely ladies to brain storm with is great.
Thank you
