Old Style Weight Loss 2020 - Part 2

Hello all.
I am waddling back in here for another go if that is ok? My response to the virus was to eat everything in sight so I have put it all back on and a few more pounds to boot!
Yesterdays food..
Beef curry and rice padded out with vegetables.
Cheese butty, apple, raw carrot, half cucumber, three pears.9 -
Well, despite being very diligent this week (my only extras on top of the omad were a marmite sandwich, a banana and 2 oranges - in the whole 7 days. And 5 of the 7 days I've had fruit for pudding) I've gained 1lb. Very fed up. Ah well, it might fall off next week hey?A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks11 -
Hi everyone, I am so sad today as I finally weighed and have gained the 6lb back again. It is so disheartening but all I can do is pull up my XXXL size big girl pants and keep going. I just don't feel I am getting anywhere as the same half a stone keeps coming and going. There is no way I am happy at this weight so I feel I have no choice but to carry on. I know it is stress eating that has caused this so today I am going to look at ways to deal with my stresses in a more positive and healthy way. I will start a new notebook as that always cheers me up and maybe keep a journal as well as a record of any weight loss (hopefully).
Todays food is a bit of a mystery to me. I know we have steak for dinner tonight but I don't know what else is going to be on offer. I am guessing some cereal for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch. Maybe I should have a look for some new recipes as well. It is so hard to keep focussed especially when you get a huge gain even though it was probably deserved. Ah well, Keep Calm and Carry On!

Maybe monthly weigh ins would help? The weekly fluctuations can be very disheartening.8 -

I also like new notebooks
I have lots - all pristine and empty except for the one I bullet journal in. I'm very minimalist though - more of an aide memoire than a work of art.
dumpling - I don't know what to say so I'm just sending hugsxx

Hugs Tighteningthebelt and Dumpling, I'm sure those gains will drop off, you have braved the scales and that is a huge step , I'm still trying to shed my gain from Easter, why does it go on in one week but takes numerous weeks to go 😞
I also love a new note book and pens and stickers and washi tape ❤️ I use a a bullet journal one as my food diary and love dividing up my weeks and months and I write a little bit about how my day or week has gone and hurdles but also any victories.
Any how today's meals
B toast
D Beef rendang with rice and stir fried green beans, hm naan and poppadams for the kids I'm also making an apple bread and butter pudding for, well pudding
Sunday is my day to breathe and eat what I or the family fancy, I try not to go crazy, but if I fancy something I don't say no.

Don't be sad dumpling. Open your new notebook and make a plan instead. It helps to get all of those feelings out of your head.
I did a pub quiz with my mates last night. It was a shambles as most of us are rubbish but we do like a natter and a few drinks together (via Zoom, not in person). It puts us all in a better mood to face the next week. Whatever the week brings please try to be kind to yourselves.
Take care all of you :-)

Hi all just so impressed with all of the mutual support on here. I just ran did a timed run for my running club, and I was happy with my time. Very motivating, as I was wearing my club tee and doing my best :-) Talking about motivation - I have made a spreadsheet for my weight, so I can track percentages! A bit of a tome waster but it helps motivate me :-)Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
