Hi All,
Sorry for going missing for a little while, I had a couple of days off work and it's been a bit manic trying to catch up with things. There may also have been rather a lot of lazing around in the garden and enjoying the sunshine
I can't go through all posts but well done for losses and STSs and commiserations for any gains. Jules, sorry you're struggling and do whatever you need to do to make things easier. You know where we are if you need us. TTB, well done for the milestones and hello Snowbird (I can already pretty much guarantee I'm going to mix you up with short_bird at some point so apologies in advance to both of you)
To say that I've not been sticking to the plan would be an understatement of epic proportions and it wasn't intentional but I completely forgot to weigh in this morning. I'll try to remember tomorrow but I wouldn't imagine it's going to be prettyI don't know what's wrong with me but I just cannot stop eating
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx

Good evening everyone
Welcome, snowbird 👋
Snowbird, blacksaturn congratulations on your losses 👏👏
shortbird commiserationsIzadora sitting in the sun is Good For You (lots of vitamin D). I’m glad you were able to enjoy it after being so busy.I’ve done lots of laundry these past few days, so there’ll be ironing to do ... No gardening today because of sprained handI’m experimenting with having Afternoon Tea (AT) in an attempt to cut out snacking. Sitting down to eat, teacup and saucer, tea plate, taking time to enjoy it. If it works, good, if I still catch myself snacking as well, I’ll have to think of something else (duct tape?).
Today’s menu
B : bacon & eggs
L : spinach soup with oatcakes & Marmite; apple
AT : one home made scone with half a teaspoonful of hm crab-apple jelly
D : aubergine, fennel & tomato bake; fat-free yogurt with blackberries & apple“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Evening all
and well done Black_saturn 👏
Snowbird 12lb is impressive loss for April, I'll add it to the chart 👏👏 I may start eating ice cream bars for breakfast 🙂 a heart attack scare may have work for you but I've a sister who after a heart scare and blood pressure through the roof came home from hospital and went to the chippy for dinner, she has the disadvantage of living in a village, there are no secrets 😐
Monna many years ago my mum was invited for her brother's birthday tea and made a fuss for his 80, on the way out the door my aunt pulled my sister to one side a said he's 81 😁 there was only 18 months between them so she should have known 🙂
Blue I hope your wrist isn't too painful, I like the sound of a proper afternoon tea. I'm going cold turkey on chocolate, biscuits, cakes and sweets as it seems I can't be trusted just to have a little bit or just the one 🙄 this afternoon I raided the fridge for blueberries and raspberries to keep me away from temptation it may be short lived 🤐
i think today is meant to be the last of the good weather so it's just as well you made the most of it Izadora unfortunately I was stuck indoors where it felt quite cool and didn't realise how warm it was until I went out lunchtime. I did get out for a little bit before dinner and planted some more seeds. I think I may have drowned my runner bean seeds (also my sister's) so I've planted some more we could end up with a lot 🙂 my nephew wouldn't be impressed

my mother-in-law turned 103 two weeks ago and she started mentioning her birthday a Month ago. Lol. Sadly, with quarantine, no family could visit but her carers are very kind to her and had a nice little celebration.10

Hi all, holding out for beef goulash with butternut and cabbage. Jelly and a tablespoon of cream for pud.
Enjoy your day everyone. 😊A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

snowbird, 103 is impressive, she is allowed to keep reminding people of it. My SIL's mother was 99, much loved and admired by the world and the cause of much handwringing and exasperation by her family. She was fed up with people mentioning that she would soon be getting a card from the Queen. She swore she didn't want one, "She's never sent me one before, I dont see why she should start now, " she grumbled. My SIL just kept imagining the pain and grief if she didn't get one. In the event she shuffled off this mortal coil just before it became an issue.
Food.
B: toast and peanut butter
L: sausages, cauli and broc cheese. Yoghurt & honey.
