Molly
keep posting love and weigh in if and when you are ready
your MH is more important at the moment
Izadora - I'll send you the pencil and ruler to draw a line under this week, why does it take so long to lose a lb but they go on without much effort
Supersaverjust remember if this was easy we would all be a size 10 or to quote Cranky like twiggy (no not the squirrel
) we will offer as much help as we can and a ear to listen to you when you need us
Snowbird I'm assuming when you talk about pork rinds you mean pork scratchings? I do find them very salty which is probably just as well but have been known not to say no if offered one.
A week of cold turkey seems to have worked for me although only with a -1lb loss when I expected more, so today i have wobbled a little and may have raided the snacks and now I have the taste again. I'm sure I shouldn't reward myself with food for losing weight
I'm another one blamed for the weather by the cat, he looks out the cat flap and then demands to go out of the front dog and them sulks because it is raining both sides of the house. He did sit on the door mat outside for nearly an hour yesterday sheltered by the porch and refused to come in, he then gets a stiff leg and gets grumpyI think the change of weather definitely affects most of our moods and I'm currently fighting the urge to put the heating back on which probably would put me back in the cats' good books
B- mixed berries and over night oats
L - fish finger sandwich
D - pork and apple burger with HM airfryer chips ( i will try and avoid a bun with the burger and try to have some salad with it)
S - Pack of crisp & Fibre one brownie barLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin9 -
Good evening everyone
Izadora, Brambling I think our four-legged friends have got us completely sussedThey know just how to pull our strings.
Izadora your meal plans sound like a good way to avoid a lot of temptation.
Brambling well done on your loss 👏 Stay strong (and snack-free) for another loss next time
Molly I hope you’ve been feeling better as the day has gone on. Stick with what you know is right and you’ll succeed in the end. Wishing you a better day tomorrow
monnagran oh, a darling little Clementine! Now it’s lost and gone forever...
Snowbird that sounds like a plan, hope your husband is chocolate-safe. We all need a bit of external help sometimes.
CRANKY that sounds good, are you channelling Captain Tom? Good luck.Lol at Squirrel Twiggy.
Supersaver (hugs). You can do it, don’t be disheartened. A pound off is a pound off, and another one next week will be a fifth of your target. Brambling’s quite right, it isn’t easy, but it’s doable.Today there was eaten
B : grapefruit, bread roll with 1/2 teaspoon of crabapple jelly
L : hm celery & lettuce soup, bread roll (no spread); apple
AT : same as yesterday’s
D : cheese omelette with mixed veg; blackberries & apple with yogurt
S : none“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Supersaver, the trick is NOT to give in and comfort yourself with treats. It often takes a week or two for a loss to register. When you think of the complicated process it must be for your body to adapt to using fat for fuel instead of food, it is not going to happen overnight.
A doctor once told me that everyone loses weight in a different way. He said some people are like a lettuce, you chop the end off a lettuce and immediately lots of leaves fall off. Those people start a diet and immediately start to lose lots of weight. Some people are like a cauliflower, you chop the end off and nothing much happens. You keep on chopping and suddenly a whole chunk falls off. Those people start a diet and nothing much happens, if they give up at that point nothing will ever happen, but if they keep on chopping away they will find that a great lump will suddenly disappear.
And some people, he said fixing me with a meaningful look, are like an onion. You cut the end off an onion and nothing happens at all. The onion has to be peeled patiently, layer by layer. It is a slow and painful process and many tears are shed along the way.
Yes, that's me.
Don't you just love these little sermons I treat you to?
Blue, I had another darling little Clementine today. I told it I was dreadful sorry as I dispatched it.I believe that friends are quiet angels

supersaver1000 said:Feeling a bit down and my enthusiasm waning lately (and I've only been in this a week). My 1lb loss which felt great last week is looking a bit small at the moment. I know I have to keep at it but it just feels a very slow process. I actually feel better just writing that down - I know I have to keep on keeping on and that every day of healthy eating is a step forward. 30 June seems a long way away but that's two months to crack this so that's also a good thing. Thank you Brambling, Blue Doggy and Monnagran
I was just feeling a bit down in the dumps today and your comments have brightened me up. I think I might be an onion too xx

Good morning everyone
I couldn't sleep so I thought I would while away the hours pottering around on the computer and paying my bills as we got paid today...hooray! I went onto the nutracheck website and planned all my meals and snacks for today as I have been lacking in motivation for the past few days and felt very flumpy. I feel a lot more positive this morning and I am planning to ask my son to help cook dinner today and possibly make a few more meals that can be frozen for later in the week.
My meals today will be:
b - Weetabix and milk
l - tomato and salad cream sandwiches on tiger bread with a packet of ready salted crisps
d - savoury mince and dumplings with swede, broccoli and cauliflower
s - apples
I have overeaten a lot this week so I skipped out on weighing myself. I will try later in the week when I am mentally ready for the results. Hope you all have a great day and make good choices, take care xx

Hello x
Ive decided not to WI today but will have to next week as I need to update my doctor my current weight as he is monitoring it as I had a huge bowel operation last year x
Anyway will keep on keep on and positive thought ro those who are struggling. Well done to those who have lost.
Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.10 -
Afternoon All,
Molly I hope things are feeling a little bit better today and that having to weigh in next week isn't causing you any worry.
monnagran I love the analogy of different veg reacting differently - I'm definitely an onion!!
snowbird Well done for handing the chocolate over for safe keeping. I was saying to my husband yesterday that I might have to move the biscuit tin to his office so that I have to fess up every time I have one
Cranky Best of luck with doing C25K on the spot. I found it hard enough to keep going when stopping would've left me a mile or so from home so I don't think I have the determination to manage it in the house.
supersaver There are times when it definitely seems to be a lot of effort for very little reward but you're heading in the right direction
Brambling Well done on your loss and thank you for the pencil and ruler. Unfortunately I seemed to have smudged it somewhat already but will keep trying each day and hopefully get there eventually.
Blue Doggy I have to admit that, although I've done well with sticking to the meal plan, I did end up baking a cake yesterday. I have sent IzHe to drop some off on my parents' doorstep but there's still quite a bit here
dumpling Hooray for payday. I hope the meal plan works well for you and helps with some motivation
Black Saturn She's not someone I've heard of but I might have a look at some of the videos. I really need to do something because I'm so used to walking on the way to and from work that I hate to think just how bad my fitness levels are now I'm barely leaving the house
I don't know if it's that everything's weird at the moment, my normal inclination to self-sabotage or hormonal cravings but I seem to want to eat all of the rubbish at the moment. It's stupid, I actually really like salad and vegetables and yet I keep stuffing in biscuits and crisps whenever the (very frequent) urge to eat something hits. I really must get a grip.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx10 -
Afternoon All
I'm weighing in with a, wait for it, a whole 1lb!! I'm pretty disappointed as I've behaved myself this week, I think the trick is though after a disappointing weigh in, is to not through myself immediately at the biscuit tin to console myself, will be trying a new tact of trying to stick to healthy eating for a whole week. Not long in after braving the Sainsbob, surprisingly it was not too bad and no queue to get in, stocked up on lots of veg to last me to next week. Dh came home with two bags of flour on Monday, haven't been able to get it in weeks, I nearly kissed him I was so happy, but didn't want him to get any ideas 😂
So I'm going to make some chocolate chip cookies for him over the weekend.
