Good evening everyone
Here we are in our shiny new thread, all ready and eager to loose the best part of eight stone (as of Brambling’s chart at time of writing). It’s great to see familiar names back.
tighteningthebelt hiya! Very well done on keeping your weight steady even through health worries 👏
I was glad to get four loads of laundry done and dried on the line today. And this afternoon I had a long phone conversation with my sister, and another with a good friend.
On the plate today:
B : porridge
L : jacket potato with half a tin of marrowfat peas with mint and garlic granules (bb Oct 2011!)
D : red pepper stuffed with rice, chopped mushroom stalks (from freezer), onion; yogurt with blueberries
S : one oatcake; 3 squares of chocolate“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Hi everyone, its nice to be back. Last time I was on I did well fasting and just eating at teatime. Things are different this time round, i'm recovering from surgery and my son is staying because of corona at uni. Its much harder for me with someone else in the house making foodie smells! Looking at my BMI I'm nearly just overweight rather than obese, so that's my mini target.
B - porridge with a pinch of sugar (habit!)
L - tin tuna in brine, one teas light mayo, in a bowl with salad
D - (I'm not cooking) sausage and mash, onion sauce, carrots, plenty spring greens. yogurt with banana and grapes.
S - (evenings are my weak spot so its important to commit on here) an apple.
I've been reading the last quarter's thread to catch up - there is such a lot of it!!A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks9 -
Good evening everyone
tighteningthebelt maybe changing the regime a bit will help with weight loss. Your son’s dinner menu looks good.
I braved the supermarket today (W’rose), everyone very polite, and performing something between a slalom and a slow dance as we all tried to avoid each other in the aisles. This afternoon I had a long chat with a friend who lives alone, has other health problems, and who hadn’t been heard from for a while. I was glad to find him cheerful and in good heart, with helpful neighbours.
So, Nosh of the Day was:
B : porridge
L : ham & tongue with salad of rocket and red chicory; tangerine
D : steamed haddock with carrots and (the other half of the tin of) marrowfat peas; cinnamon yogurt
S : 1 oatcake; 1 hot cross bun; 1 slice of fruit cake (the last two not part of any known diet regime, but were very cheering after the shopping expedition.)“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

I couldn't face the SM in town so went to T Exp lunchtime, I did drive pass the first one as it had a long queue (I have two within walking distance but was on a time restraint so drove). The two main requirements were milk and bananas, although I hate paying T Exp price for bananas. I also picked up some other fruit and veg so with what's in the fridge and freezer I can avoid going again until the milk runs out (I need at least one proper cuppa a day 😁)
I'm going to try and start this challenge with good intentions and will see how it goes 🥺
B - porridge made with almond milk (I had a long life carton brought for overnight oats which now needs using) banana and blueberries
L - smoke mackerel pate with fresh tiger loaf
D - spaghetti bolognese - I diced celery, carrot, leek, pepper, courgette, mushrooms, broccoli stalk and the last few sugar snap peas into bolognese- I will get my veggies in to day
S - grapes

Good morning all,
I weighed myself this morning and I'd like to go for 7 lbs again for the next quarter please. The HT and I are trying to keep up with exercising. He was too sore to go out yesterday but we went for a walk this morning (out before 7:30am). I am trying to resist temptation to bake things that I like - that would be dangerous territory indeed. The gingerbread people aren't too calorific if I make the biscuit dough fairly thin and make lots of them.
Take care all of you and stay safe!4 -
hiya
just posting my intentions;
B - porrige with a pinch of sugar
one slice toast and spread with marmite
orange
D - chicken breast in tomato and pepper sauce, new potato, veg.
should have declared I'll weigh in Sundays.
have a good day everyone, keep up the good work!A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

Good evening everyone
Bad Blue_Doggy has had a cake binge today. It started so well, but went downhill rapidly after a late lunch following some strenuous pruning in the garden.
So, today:
B : porridge
L : omelette filled with lo mushroom & rice from Wednesday’s stuffed pepper, broccoli, butternut squash; apple
D : butter bean stew; cinnamon yogurt
S : halfa hot cross bun; far too much fruit cake
, with far too much coffee too

Good morning xx
Not the best of starts to the new quarter - I've STStbh I'm relieved it's not a gain as I've eaten hot cross buns, chocolate, and jam tarts this week. The buns and chocolate were dropped off by a well meaning friend, I am only responsible for buying the jam tarts. But I am responsible for what goes in my mouth - it's a lot easier when these items are not in the house. Search for lost will power is ongoing!
Sparkly line.....
After a stressful week I am now at home for the next ten days and hoping to unwind a little and get back on track. Daily intake will be recorded again to make me think twice what goes in my mouth!
Have a good day. Stay safe

Confessing to an extra toast yesterday. Might put the breadbin in DS room... I like to think I wouldn't actually steal the bread.
Have a good day everyone. Let us enjoy the sunshine, and avoid temptation!A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

I give in! I often read along and groan and cheer appropriately but resist joining in because if I put pressure on myself I automatically fight it. However, I stepped on the scales this morning. Actually I stepped on and off several times in sheer blind disbelief. May I join you please?
Quick biography. Almost 81 YEARS ago my poor little Mum, 4ft 10 and 6 stones pre-pregnancy, produced her first baby weighing 10lb. "Good Heavens. She looks 3 months old already," gasped the astonished doctor. "She'll never be able to wear silk stockings," said her proud father, surveying her little fat legs.
This was my introduction to the world.
Since then there has not been one sensible or cranky diet I have not tried. Not one weight reducing club has escaped having me as a member, I managed to put ON weight with each once. Doctors, clinics, therapists, hypnotists, aromatherapists, witchdoctors....have all had a go at me with no visible signs of success. I have a whole library of books on the subject.
I also talk too much.
Now I would like to start by just losing the weight I have put on over Christmas and moving house....they sort of went together. So can I join in please?
I'd like to aim for 6lb to start with. Let's be realistic.I believe that friends are quiet angels
