Not NSD - spent at smkt.
Thankful for digging out old bedding for passing on to someone to make scrubs bags (combined journey with smkt one and it was still local, so only a detour on the way), reduced Easter eggs at smkt (cheaper than choc bars!), seeing 2 friends in smkt - quick (social distancing!) catch ups, leftovers, good moods (some people...!), good weather, getting DS1's presents sorted for tomorrow - have wrapped in brown paper and we've decorated each one, seedlings growing.

Afternoon everyone
Had a productive day doing my FT job from home; had lovely chat with colleague - only been in my role since end Jan so still getting to know people
Got to catch up on PT roles this evening which are both busy!
Lovely sunny day but feels cold. Not ventured out for a walk today but will do so later. DDs are doing an exercise class in the lounge so i'm in my (partly decluttered) bedroom watching the daily Govt update.
Siebrie - i don't want to return to normality! I hope we have a new normal - slower pace and appreciative of simple things; plus more working from home for our work-life balance and for the environment. I can appreciate it is difficult for those with young children and those without gardens etc. I'm glad my DDs are old enough to understand and are self sufficient in terms of amusing themselves etc. DD2 is 'back' to uni today (from home) and DD1 is slowly cleaning the whole house!! She has tidied the garden; cleared out the bathroom cabinet; and cleaned the kitchen cupboards - next task is she wants to rearrange the kitchen cupboards - go for it!
Planning a NSD today as we have enough food and have jacket potatoes in the oven for tea. I don't want to go to the SM too often (last went on Saturday) and i def don't want to be tempted by cheap easter goodies !!
Love Deni x

My peas have shoots! I am growing them as pea shoots rather than waiting for peas. Seeds are sprouting.I have spent the day scrubbing floors on my hands and knees, and moving a bookshelf into the pantry, and now it looks like a shop in there. DH squeaked when he went in there. It sounded like a happy squeak. Cleaning, clearing, sorting, and then I had the most awful thought....... I bet every last child of mine will have grown out of their school shoes by the time they go back.... and I bet the younger two will have outgrown their trousers as well. One to remember to check when they get a restart date.So NSD9, I am not going out again until Thursday volunteering session.Gratitudes: finding 3 vegan smoked cheeses that every last one of the kids will eat (at the same time) and finding them in a local deli/corner shop.Having a 90% clean kitchen floor'I'll get this' coming back on tonight.Property-p0rn tv programmes giving me ideas for the house.Only having 10% of the kitchen floors to clean tomorrow.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for finding a 12 min exercise thingy on utube that is do-able with my ankle, for arnica, for learning more online teaching skills, for making some awesome 3-ingred pea butter cookies, for being safe and well.

Had another day off work today, my original plan was to have this whole week off and go to visit my parents (that was pre lockdown). Work let me cancel two days of the leave but had to take today and Thursday off. Spent the day cracking on with DIY, two loads of washing, reading a good book and went for a nice long walk.
I'm another one that's kind of weirdly not looking forward to going back to normal. I'm determined to have a MUCH better work/life balance whenever I go back to work properly.
Today I'm grateful for my book; making progress with the DIY; a lovely sunny walk, if a little chilly; tasty pasta bake; vegan chocolate.8 -

Good evening!
Easter over and back to work and all change again. I can't keep up! Looks like now I will be doing part time care and part time working but in a low risk area. I guess that is a fair compromise...
I will be glad when my life drops back into some kind of regular structure again.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Recognition for the difference I have made at work
2) An end in sight and a fresh start
3) My drive to and from work
Today = NSD number 7
Have a good one folks!!

Spoke to bestie on FaceTime was great to see her.
DS got upset this morning apparently the English workbook was too hard for him to do. He burst into tears & asked when can he go back to school.

DH was all set to paint the fence yesterday but when he found the stain it was a totally different colour to the fence, I think it was what we used to use on the summer house before we painted in green. He can't get any stain online so has had to shelve that idea so he and DS sanded and repainted the gates instead. I washed all the downstairs windows and frames, they look very lovely. The window cleaner was at the bungalow behind us and he was saying he is trying to do a few days a week just to pay for the groceries, he charged them £6, it is going to take a lot of windows to feed a family, how are they supposed to manage until they can claim the money they are due?I have started doing my weekly grocery shop in a very different way now to avoid the queues, I passionately hate grocery shopping and it taking longer than ever is just horrifying to me, I don't think Tesco and Sainsburys will be seeing as much of my money in the future.f0xh0les - I've had the same thought about DS's shoes, trousers and his bliddy £60 blazer.Called at the Co-op last night and got a bottle of wine and some supper things as a treat, DH is off work this week and we were supposed to be away on holiday so this was sort of in lieu of that.Plan for today - may go running or cycling, will read in the sunshine, need to do some cleaning, avoid all spending opportunities, walk the dog and annoy my children in any way possible.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Morning from Groundhog Day. LO is at nursery, washing on the line, working from home. Yesterday I managed to do some cleaning before picking LO up, need OH to vacuum living room. Also saw the mouse again, apparently OH thought it was gone even though I could hear in the loft at night (turns out he thought it was a bird) so now he is talking about putting the traps down again9
