Sunday- NSD 8.
Little to report today, DD was very glad the Easter Bunny is an essential service and egg hunting could occur as normal, she was worried yesterday it wouldn't happen!
Gratitudes- delight at an egg hunt in the garden, meeting people when out for dog walk/exercise- very odd " chatting across the road" rather than just crossing to speak but everyone around here is very good at staying apart, slow cooker banana cakes (is supposed to be a loaf, but my loaf tin is too big to fit in the slow cooker- silicon cupcake cases have worked well), a very chilled out afternoon, time to watch some of the many programmes I have recorded on my sky box.9 -
Grateful for still having £36 for food this month, for having this week off and for boys going on a bikeride together yesterday and coming back together as well, happy for slightly colder weather as am less tempted to sit and stare at birds in garden.
Have a lovely day.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Hi all, very windy here today, also had to turn heating off as it came on this morning due to windows being open. Put a couple of loads of washing on line, put dishwasher on, tried to keep LO happy but she’s teething. Got her to ‘colour in’ a picture for a competition at work (lots of dots and lines all over the place) she only managed to lick one felt tip without me noticing, so we’ll see what happens. Grateful for the weather (the washing is probably dry but I can never tell if it is so I leave out all day), finding some chocolate raisins to snack on and that although I hate the seagulls it’s not as bad as when I lived at the flat and there were about 10 nests on the next door building8

abbi - do you know those ice pops, the long thin ones? Ice poles? I gave them to my kids when they were teething- you don't even have to open them, they can bite down on them
, and the ice soothes, and then they get the surprise when you open it for them and it is an ice pole!
That and those really hard breadsticks kept me sane through teething.
Did one set of volunteering this morning, am going back again now. DHs car has a totally flat battery and he has a nut that wont budge (!) so he can't bring it in to charge.DS3 made chocolate brownies with all his easter chocolate this afternoon, diabetes squares. Mum of the Year badge goes to.... (someone else probably). Still on NSD8 as I bought milk!!! yay!! soya milk is in the house!!!! (It doesn't take much to make me happy).4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Have washed again today and line dried, did all the ironing and cleaned the bathroom. Walked for 1.5 hrs with DH, we set off in a really cold wind and within 10 minutes the weather had changed to sunshine and no wind so we were boiling. DH painted the dining room windowsill and apart from that we have read all day.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Evening all, didn't check in yesterday as was out most of the day volunteering at RDA - even though everything is cancelled we still have 15 ponies that need feeding, watering, grooming and fields that need poo picking! Was a hard day's work in the sun but nice to be out (there was no one else around as private land so fine in terms of keeping my distance along with a few other volunteers). I was absolutely knackered in the evening and in bed not long after 9.
Had a sore back this morning but put my brace on and went for a walk for an hour. Bit of a change in weather from yesterday! Also worked out at home, started my freeletics routine, no excuses not to stick to it atm.
Apple I feel your pain having sprained my ankle really badly a couple of years ago, they take blooming ages to heal. Avoid ibuprofen in the first few days, apparently they can make swelling worse initially. The doctor told me you just have to walk on it but much easier said than done! Hope it heals up quickly for you.8 -
Today I am grateful that I can rest my ankle a lot, for arnica, for not needing painkillers (and have only had some paracetamol since it happened - thanks for the note on ibu lcc - it confirms what I'd read), for still being able to sweep downstairs and the patio and also de-weeding some of the patio, for being comfortable squatting low to weed, for dd doing uer hwk, for dh cooking tea again, for being able to go barefoot around the house.

Afternoon everyone!
I have once again been M.I.A!!! So sorry... Work has been super stressful - upper management have been atrocious in supporting our department and we've not known whether we are coming or going. Staff have been in, then off, and some people close have gone off with COVID. I am trying to juggle family, work and myself and it feels like be everything to everyone - and failing on all fronts. Today is the first day I have felt 'still' enough in myself to sit here and type.
I have decided to take a month's unpaid leave so I can look after family, and they have said they will support my loss of earnings. I feel bad not being in work at this difficult time - but what do you do? Put your family or your job first? Anyway... I hope it is the right decision - it's made - I just have to let them know at work tomorrow.
In other news - finances are surprisingly ok and still in credit. I had cashback on Quidco which was an unexpected surprise too! I'm waiting for it to clear then I should be able to chip a bit more of the old debt mountain - more like a large hill now haha!!!
Today I am grateful for:
1) The warm sunshine again - always feel brighter
2) A quiet day to myself
3) A supportive family
Today = NSD number 6
Have a good one folks!!
