I read and relaxed for a long while, got sent outside to make sure the windowcleaner could get to all the windows easily. Ate what I felt like eating fresh and tinned fruit, cheese and crackers. Mum had a long phone call from her friend in the IOM. I changed her dressing - we seem to be winning. Last week it looked as though we had gone back to square one, so I changed from the dry dressing to the original granular one (+ 4 layers of padding/ bandages) and it looks a lot better today. Skin was healthier too so I repeated last week's rubbing moisturiser on all the parts that get covered by bandages (except for close to the wound), leaving it to sink in before applying a second layer and then replacing all the layers. Only one dressing left in the box so cut it into 4 (dressing is about 6" square and the wound is only 1/2 " square). Found some antiseptic wipes in individual foil sachets and they worked well too.Started to put the roof supports for the polytunnel together whilst watching a film, then went outside to put it together. Not sure how to get the cover on (solution may invovle guy ropes and dragging it over from one side to the other).Today I am grateful for chinodoxia appearing through the gravel, having a polytunnel, having a shed (aka decontamination area), looking up remedies for tired eyes and have ingredients for several (going with cider vinegar and water for now) and finishing a book.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8

Have you started your hayfever meds mothernerd? It is 'no eyeliner until October' time for me. Itchy eyes. Panda grrrr!Did a supermarket shop this morning, queued, got in, shopped (still no loo roll but got corn for popping - make of that what you will) queued for till, all in all it took about 3 x as long as normal. The staff were brilliant, corralling everyone into the tills with great efficiency. So I have 2 small bags of pasta - again, empty shelved - so I am not going out again until Monday f/b. I will grab loo roll from Herr F/F and possibly swing past the Polar shop -I have £11 worth of free vouchers to spend on burgers, the kids will be delighted.I am so bored of my family (or their ability to amuse themselves in their bedrooms leaving me wandering around looking for stuff to do to occupy myself) I wonder if this is what empty nesters feel? blimey, not doing this long term I can tell you!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Well I've woken up this morning a bit fuzzy headed and not feeling the love if I'm honest. I have lots of things I want to do but unfortunately no motivation to actually do any of it at all. Trying not to give myself a hard time and accept that there will be good days and bad days. I've had a couple of paracetamol and a cup of tea and am hoping I'll feel more like doing something in a minute. I've fed the cats and changed their litter, and opened the back door into the garden to let a bit of fresh air in, and so the cats can come and go as they please. Still need to wash the dishes, wipe the surfaces, hoover through and tidy up.
I'm grateful that we have a garden that the three of us can go and sit in while the weather is nice - even if I do hate all gardening related activities. Just trying to plan the daily walk thinking where I can walk where I'm not likely to see many people - I think there will be a lot out today with the weather being so nice. I'm dragging ds with me whether he likes it or not - he needs some fresh air and daylight. I have thoroughly cleaned and scrubbed the bathroom walls ready for decorating but am definitely not feeling as though I want to do that at the moment.
Other gratitudes… not needing any supplies from the shops so we can stay home, a beautiful day outside, it being Saturday so school work is entirely optional, cuddles with my kids and cats.

Yes f0xh0les started a month ago (I also have 3 spectacular mosquito bites already - but packed the wasp and bite cream). To be honest I just went round looking at things and dropping them in the bags if they would be useful (and not the sort of thing they would use or would wait until they needed it to come and ask "Have you anything that.....". I've cut back on the handwashing (down from Lady Mac.... levels) as I need to balance getting rid of possible contaminants against certain outbreak of dermatitis/ eczema (have creams but only bits).ccl Have a day off. You have all the essentials covered - enough to eat, clean clothes, bills/ money ok-ish (best any of us can say atm). The housework will still be there tomorrow. Sit outside and relax. Read, eat alfresco (with a coat on if necessary). Your body is telling you what it needs and it needs rest. You have been going flat out for so long plus the added stress of post divorce finance negotiations. You need to stop and let everything settle down, let your mind adjust to the new situation/ new reality. We're in a bit of a jam (and due mainly to govt inaction not the few selfish hoarders or 'I'm all right jacks' - they are just a byproduct of the extreme version of capitalism we now live under) and there will be more hurdles along the line. But just for now, you have done everything you can. Just let things be, do the things that help/ nourish you - crochet, reading, dancing with cats. In fact look at your cats and use them as an example of how to live your life - have a snooze, do a little stretching, yowl for someone to bring you food, even if they can only manage a jam butty, play with your toys, have another nap, think deep thoughts and give everyone a sphinx like stare (you are a goddess, you know everything). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage11

Hi just checking in, grateful for a nice long run this morning before the crowds were out, for a garden, where I'm planning to lounge in particular tomorrow when it should be a bit warmer. We have an unenforced house rule for all to get out and get about an hour worth of daylight/movement/exercise a day - to help immune system and also youngest have a tendency to hide w a screen in his room, when he's about tho sink. And I feel that is happening. so am a bit worried. Have a great day all. XIsa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

It has been a good day in the apple household.Today I am grateful for Dd doing some dance classes via z00m, for doing my kettlebell workout, for the neighbourhood children actually being quite nice and several of them chatting away over the fences and gardens, for digging over more garden and giving the rasps some air to grow, for having emptied half of the compost bin yesterday as I've now nearly filled it with weeds, for the beautiful sunshine, for my 1000 piece jigsaw coming along nicely.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!10
