Good evening!
I am really enjoying these lighter nights and we have been so lucky with the weather around here, meaning on my days off I have been able to go for a lovely walk to clear away the cobwebs. Yesterday I did go out and bought pizza!!! I needed a treat to cheer myself up and I have been eating really well and exercising (practically!) every day this month so far...
Today I am grateful for:
1) The sunshine and birds, and the little park near to where I live
2) To the online webpage where I picked up my home workout
3) To all the YouTube bloggers who make helpful content
Today = NSD number 3
Had a mammoth batch cook yesterday (8 meals) all in the freezer bar one which I scoffed! Had a bit of a tidy up so my little home is looking orderly again. One more day off then will see what work holds in store next week!
Have a lovely evenings folks!!!⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

No NSD here, ran out of a few essentials so had to go shopping, got pretty much everything we needed. Also took the opportunity to buy a mini greenhouse online, some seeds, and protein bars as running low. Going to try and grow a few easy bits, mostly for the rabbits to save money buying them veg! I'm not very green fingered tbh. I feel like I've seen a lot of people meeting up this afternoon when looking outside the window. I hope this isn't representative of the broader picture...
Got lots of cleaning and cooking done today and listed an item on ebay. Just an old camera, if it doesn't sell I'll keep it as I was in two minds about selling it. We'll see.
Grateful for a lovely walk this morning, my first proper workout for ages this afternoon, nostalgic TV, cream tea that we indulged in at home and good weather.9 -
No NSD today as put an online bet on the virtual grand national but I did win! Also did a sweep with a group of friends and didn’t win that so cost me £5!
Cleaned house even the dust off the wooden blinds used to think I didn’t have time to do that but took all of 10 minutes!! Although forgot to put my hoover on charge so can do that tomorrow (modern day problems hey)!
I’m being very lazy so I’ve put a few things on a to do list tomorrow to make me do something. I’m getting in my own nerves today.
Grateful for:
1. Win in the national
2. Internet
3. DS entertaining himself bless him
4. Clean house

Don't think I've done much today except a walk to the pharmacy. DH went to Smkt - topped up our milk & f&v supplies (getting through loads!!) and scored some YS bakery items and meat
Thankful for sun (eventually - warmed up around 3pm), watching birds on the lawn searching for worms, a lie in (DS3 woke us up at 8.30!!), using up the last of the bbe Sept potatoes to make roasties for the freezer, finding more things for the CS bag

NSD3. Put the cover on the polytunnel. Spent several hours in there, messing with seeds. Nearly all the old seeds planted one way or another. Will see what appears over the next few weeks, then re-use any containers without occupants. Made a chicken, carrot and broccoli korma for mum. She has eaten one portion and has 2 more. Cooked some half baked baguettes and buns, roasted chicken breasts and stuffing for tomorrow dinner.Today I am grateful for polytunnels, growing things, easy food, books and hot water. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage10

Spent a lovely day in the garden yesterday, and cycled around (not through) our village. DDs playing wonderfully well together. I have noticed that they play better together after some time apart, so I will instigate that more for a few moments per day.
We were told yesterday that a lady in our street, grandmother to a girl in dd1's class, passed away due to the corona virus. She was a very kind, welcoming, chatty lady, and will be sorely missed.
This news has also confirmed to us that we need to continue self-isolation and paying attention. DDs are now more convinced than ever that smoking and being obese are riskier in difficult times, and determined to never start smoking, and to keep on moving. They understand my insistence on a healthy diet better.

Still on NSD No 4
Ordered some things online today which I know we're going to need in a week or so so I want to make sure that they can be delivered on time. It's things that we usually by in bulk anyway so I'll gift some to the Boy or any of my neighbours who need them. I have managed to get what we want at a reasonable price but, my goodness, some companies are obviously exploiting the situation. On principle I wouldn't pay the prices even if I can afford it.
I'll have to contact our Health Centre to find out how we can get our repeat prescriptions as it is closed. They are doing telephone consultations but only giving appointments to see a doctor if absolutely necessary which is as it should be but I'm not sure of the process to get prescriptions. I think they might send them directly to a chemist or something.
Going through the fridge, freezers and store cupboards is an adventure. There are things in there which I don't even remember buying. The shame of it! It will not be happening again I can assure you. But it will be used. You're right, Mothernerd. this is a time for each and every one of us and society in general to take a good look at what we've become and change our ways.
Gratitudes for today:
My neighbours. I know I've said it before but they are fantastic. Carers, hospital workers, supermarket workers, a binman and that's only the ones I know really well. They are putting their lives on the line every time they go to work and they are still asking if I need anything because I can't go out.
The support on here. We're all feeling a bit strange so let us know if you need a bit of encouragement. You'll always be assured of a virtual hug.
Himself making me laugh.
Chocolate
Oreo biscuits.
Stay safe. xxx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.12
