Just checked my email again, no its says "refund confirmed"   No mention of when I would get the money.

I have not heard anything from my bank.  I am going to ring them on Monday.
Hi Ralph, my refund took about 24 hours (working day) to hit my bank account after receiving the "refund has been paid" email.
    Was that direct debit?

I've had the "refund processed" email for the final outstanding amount of my holiday, which was by direct debit, I'm trying to work out how long it should take to hit my account, have asked TUI on Twitter but no joy.
Hi, yes I'd paid on my debit card in three installments: 100 deposit, 300 2nd installment and then the final balance. Holiday fully paid for before I requested the refund. Those 3 payments came through as separate transactions but all arrived at the same time.
That's not a direct debit, you paid by debit card, the current issues people are having are those who have paid by direct debit (there seems to be a challenge at TUI's end in refunding those payments, due to the lack of a "live" direct debit mandate)

Alright mate, don't give yourself a heart attack, just trying to be helpful. I won't bother next time...  :/
You have mis-interpreted the point of the post it wasn't a dig (and my heart is fine), but it's important for people who are trying to understand what's going on with their refunds to have clear info, you advising you've had a direct debit refund makes it more confusing for those who can't get those progressed (when in fact you've had a card refund that many have had, and aren't seemingly problematic).

I've read a couple of posts from people who've received their refund credit code but when they try to use it to rebook or apply for a refund, it says it's invalid.
I wonder if anyone has managed to sort this out, and if how, how they did it.

    Thanks

TUI advice (which has worked for some on Twitter) is that you should type the code in and not copy and paste it from the e-mail.

Other than that, the only solution they offer is to call them up so they can do it manually.

Hi everyone, just a ray of sunshine to give people some hope. We received a full refund in pretty quick time, less than 2 weeks from requesting.

8 May - due to leave on holiday
21 May - requested full refund online
5 June - full refund paid into bank account
    Hiya

I assume you received an email with a code in order to apply for the online refund? Can I ask how long after TUI confirmed your holiday was cancelled did you get the refund code?
I’m due to fly on 3rd July so holiday isn’t cancelled yet (so far they have only cancelled everything up to 30th June) but am expecting it to be cancelled in the next few weeks!

    thanks 😊

To be fair, you were trying to be helpful, but it was inadvertently misleading! There are more delays with direct debits than debit & credit card payments, so others who have used direct debits are just trying to get an accurate picture of timescales. Which is the point skadupuk is helping with.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Rang TUI on 12th May to ask for deposit money back for a store booking.
Has gone into bank this morning as a "Giro Credit". So all resolved within 4 weeks which to my mind is reasonable enough.
