Took me about 10 attempts to get into the queue at around 11:45 today, and was about a 90 minute wait to talk to someone.MuffinMan0412 said:What's the average length of call people have endured to get to actually speak to someone?0 -
Their not refusing , just making it pretty nigh impossible if your at work all day phone lines are closed at weekends, I don't get home until after 7.0

Hi.Anyone else trying to get through to move/cancel a shop booked holiday. Deadline is 2nd June so starting to worry it wont just be the deposit (prepared to lose that) that is going to be lost. Not willing to go on the holiday (to Grecce) if it everything is affected by Social Distancing or Quarantine after return.Have been noting ever call time down but is that enough?0

My partner was in a queue for 2 hours.0

I got through on 2nd sttempt (5 mins after 1st). 1 hr 6 mins from start to finish & 36 hrs later money was back on my c/c. Though I can't see that helps anyone!
I left angry & frustrated out of the equation & focussed entirely on friendly, polite & sypathetic to the difficulties the staff are facing. This isn't their fault.
Anyone totally fed up trying to notify TUI they want a refund, should note the advice of Martin Lewis to consider a Chargeback if paid by D/C or C/C. Explanation of that on MSE. Faster than small claims, not as frustrating as endless attempts to 'phone.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
I have tried going through Resolver, Tui did indeed at least communicate with me, they said they request that I wait some more time!
!!!!!!, I think that I have waited long enough

Am I right to assume that those who paid via DD to TUI (purchasing on-line) have no recourse other than to keep plugging away via the phone route to get a refund? i.e. no chargeback or other schemes available for DD?0
-
AFAIK that is correct about no Chargeback or other methods like that, you do have another recourse that is court action (not saying that's what you should do)rhodos said:Am I right to assume that those who paid via DD to TUI (purchasing on-line) have no recourse other than to keep plugging away via the phone route to get a refund? i.e. no chargeback or other schemes available for DD?

I have got my bank helping me, I paid 2 direct debits, they are raising a dispute to try and get them back, but I am not holding my breath!0

Interesting, do you know the reason the bank is using for that dispute?RalphWiggam said:I have got my bank helping me, I paid 2 direct debits, they are raising a dispute to try and get them back, but I am not holding my breath!
