Guess who paid the balance of their holiday this morning? And then gets this email...
Anyway, had a look at amending to the same time next year and the price hiked by £800!
Going to hold out until the 30th June and will hopefully be cancelled by then (booked for mid August), if not will rearrange. Do we think they'll still be offering the 20% off for cancellations?

Tried to claim money back but it doesn't recognise either the booking reference, the date of departure or the lead passenger.....
Hey Ho!  But the form does say that for bookings after April 16th paid by credit card I should be able to expect repayment' within 5 days'.    Being cynical now - from what date does is that 5 days counted?????  I'll wait five day (is that working days / days/ or what???) and then start again.....

My cruise was 13 March, cancelled departure morning when we were at Gatwick. TUI website currently says all pre. 16 April have been paid. Ha Ha. Got through today (again) and given the standard TUI promise "all will be paid by 27 May". Sadly the time when TUI's word was their bond are long gone, I've had three broken promises to date, am I just a cynic not to believe promise number four. I fear I will have to start the Credit Card recovery route, but it doesn't seem fair to give my bank extra work because my travel company have gone crook.

Same here.  Paid the balance for a mid August holiday.  I looked at moving to next year and very expensive!

Just phoned - told there was a one hour wait (!) but was connected in less than 2 minutes and all organised for full refund in 7 days.
Staff working from home so all sorts of new contracts and systems had to be set up to enable them to be able to access the stuff they usually do at the office (for our own security and safety) - I was very angry at Tui but - at present - feel much relieved and more understanding - why on earth did they just not explain the problems???

Yes I expect a lot of people arent expecting them to be open today so if you need to ring them, now may be a good time to try.

Well Bradders1983, the message I got when I rang today was that the office was closed and these are the amended office hours.....They are also past the 28 days from our departure date for issuing a refund credit, once again reneging  on the promises of the MD Andrew Flintham. As suggested by you, and some others, be patient, all will be resolved. If responses to customers was to be in strict order of holiday dates, how is that people who had holiday start dates later than hours, have had their refund credit and have been satisfactorily dealt with. They that shout loudest get dealt with perhaps?

I don't know.  To be fair, as it is a bank holiday I didn't expect them to be open.  I only rang on the off chance that they might be trying to catch up, so was not surprised to be told that they were closed.  What did surprise me was seeing the post from Frugalfran to say that they had got through at about say 3 pm.

I got through yesterday at 10-00 am. I accepted a credit refund to pay for a holiday booked for November this year, & Mr Tui kindly gave me a bonus for £603.82 towards the holiday I booked to replace the one cancelled this June. Yesterday was only the second call I had to make & I was on 13m 32s. Can't see what all the fuss is about :)
