Me and my boyfriend booked a holiday that was due to go on 17th April 2020, this was obviously cancelled and offered a credit note to then apply for a refund. They said they’re issuing from 1st May but could take 2 weeks to process. Not yet had anything.. anyone with a similar sort of time frame had their credit note yet? Would rather have the money tbh but was told we couldn’t until this refund credit note had been issued first.

We should have traveled to Rhodes on 18th April with Tui.  I received my credit note and 20% incentive about a week ago.  I’ve not done anything with it as yet.  I have another Tui booking for August which needs to be paid this week.  I could use the voucher but that entails a phone call which I am reluctant to do having read of the difficulties people are experiencing in getting through.  It’s somewhat annoying to read upthread that the phone lines are clogged by people whose holidays are still in theory going ahead when I’m owed well over £2K but have little chance of getting to speak to Tui.

For us due to depart 9 May, they had emailed to say the credit note/code would be sent up to 14 days later but it actually arrived 3 days post old departure date.  We however booked on line. If you booked via a shop I guess different time frames and processes may apply.

Yes we booked in the shop so might be taking longer than anticipated

When are TUI likely to update the latest round of cancelled holidays? As in holidays after 11th June

The problem (for TUI) is that as soon as they announce holidays from 12th June to xx of month are cancelled, that will trigger another wave of people ringing up to request a refund rather than waiting for a refund credit note then asking for a refund.

They don't seem to be doing that well in refunding customers for holidays with passed departure dates as it is.

True, but people also need to know if there holiday is going ahead. Im meant to go on the 15th June to America. Its 99% likely to be cancelled, but until TUI say is it, i have to assume im going
I was just putting forward a possible reason for TUI to delay announcing the next wave of cancellations.
I'm not sure anyone who isn't 'in the know' at TUI could answer your question.

    I'm in the same position.
Due to fly to Greece on 12th June.
I am assuming that my holiday won't go ahead.

According to the Greek Prime Minister - “Best-case scenario is Greece is open for business July 1st, and we’re working towards that,”
I'm supposed to be flying out 24th June but fairly sure that's not happening!

Didn't they say any international visitors would need to have a test within 72 hours of travel?
Or that may have been a proposal - I've read so much lately.

We're booked for Greece in Sept. The FCO page still says 14 days quarantine on arrival, but I read on Tripadvisor that it would be a 'free' Covid-19 test on arrival & a night in a hotel, before allowing people onward to their booked accommodation if the test was negative (that would be a fast testing turnaround!).

Sadly, too much is guesswork &/or speculation, I don't think anyone has got much choice but to wait & see what destinations do, what FCO do, what tour operators do.  Codiv-19.........unknown territory!
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

Has anyone been successful in getting through to Tui on the phone? I received a refund code by email on 7th May which says that if I want a refund I can't do it via email, I must speak to someone. I have tried several times a day every day since but just get a recorded message saying that they are getting a lot of calls at the moment and to try again later when they will be "happy to help"!

From what others have been saying on here, you need perseverance.
    And possibly luck.
