  • You need to wait until they cancel it first, be patient.

Just had an email cancelling my Marella cruise due to sail 13th August, 20% credit offered but had only paid the deposit anyway.

Website up until now had only been cancelling cruises up until the 30th June, havent checked if that has changed.

Silly question - my balance was due 23rd May. Email makes no mention if I have to pay it or not to get the refund credit bonus. I assume I dont have to pay it?

My Mom has just called me and said that she received an email from TUI that mentioned something about a 20% credit, but didn't understand what it meant and neither does she.  They were due to travel on 29th May.
She is trying to call them today, but if no joy, I am going to contact them on chat (if available) on her behalf.  She wants a refund though.

If you accept a voucher they also issue an additional 20% voucher for use against a future holiday

This. But on my email today it says expect it by the 30th June. No point ringing up to use it yet but she can ring up and get her money back if she wants.

I have just found out our hotel in Mexico (Grand Bahia Principe Coba) is closed until at least 1st August, our holiday (with TUI) is due to depart on 10th July.
I'm just wondering what to do (we are planning to rebook this holiday with TUI for July 2021).
Should I contact TUI now and hope they give us the 20% discount on next years booking or wait until we receive the cancellation from TUI before rebooking.  The 20% discount is important as it covers the price increase for next year.

    Explained on TUI website:

My Mom said she tried to call about 4 different numbers today but couldn't get through.
Do TUI have an online chat thing, as I can't seem to find anything on their website.  My Mom would have booked in the travel agent shop, so has letters relating to the holiday.

Not sure why your Mum needs to get in touch with TUI but there's some information about in-store bookings - including 2 phone numbers - on the TUI website.

Because she's 71 and doesn't have the skills to look things up online.  I have had to get up to speed with this as well, as my own holiday was booked with Jet2 and have sorted that out.  I never book with TUI.
I will send this to her.
