Here are some flapjacks and caramel brownies . Enjoy!
Hope you are all well and not going too stir crazy. What day is it????
The slow cooker cake was a cake batter like any other it just didn't cook right definitely overbaked. As it's the same batter it might as well be done in the oven next time, it will be ready much quicker too. Quick access to cake is very important in these difficult times
I've been shopping, still no flour around, where is it all? I hope the bulk buyers don't throw it out. I've made bottom of the fridge soup which was really nice, shame you can never quite recreate it! Other than that, a solitary day, every day seems like Sunday!
Tomorrow I have a telephone hospital appointment with the orthopaedic surgeon I was supposed to be getting a new hip, but that won't be happening for quite a while now. Nothing I can do about it anyway, I shall continue to limp and hop with style and dignity. Once that is done I'll make a proper cake for the oldies and maybe get some of the garden done.

Starting to feel a little like Groundhog Day here! I think my cake levels are dangerously low..may need to rectify this3

Welcome findingthisdifficult - I think I speak for most of us when I say that anyone who brings Lemon Drizzle Cake to the party is very welcome indeed!
Weather here can't make up its mind today - was cloudy first thing, then a burst of sun for a while, and now cloudy again and rain threatening I reckon. Also - am I the only one who is feeling frustrated that thanks to WFH it's not been practical to get the heating off for the summer yet? Normally ours would be off - or at least turned right down - by this stage in the year, but because of being indoors a lot that's not been practical so far this year! Having said that thanks to Bulb bill credits from referrals we are still in credit even at this stage in the year so that's not so bad.
Currently keeping an eye on jigsaws on eBay in between bits and bobs of work - I think we might need to leave jigsaw buyig for a few weeks until they get less popular though - they are currently going for silly money!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The weather started off so lovely here first thing, sunshine and blue skies now it's windy and gloomy. My heating is still on, unfortunately it's on when I'm at work too as Mr SA is disabled, at home all day and feels the cold. Hopefully it'll get warmer soon.
Have managed to get a Mr M online delivery slot for 23 April, fortunately I've been lucky enough to get deliveries from them up to this week, I have a delivery pass and always shop with them, no choice as don't have a car. I can manage for the next 2 weeks, picking up fresh stuff from the local shops.
Hope everyone is well and coping as best as they can (and not eating too much cake).
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Hello everyone
Yes, my neighbours are wonderful. One young man cut all the grass yesterday and it's an awful lot of grass.
Another neighbour who has a cafe (which is obviously closed) gave everyone 30 eggs today. Don't know what my next door neighbour is going to think when she comes home from work and finds them outside her door. The cafe lady has given all her homemade cakes, homemade soup, perishable veg, etc to the pensioners who come to her cafe. She is such a kind person, as they all are. We are not going out at all so I can't do anything in return just now but I most certainly will do when this is all over.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.3 -
Afternoon!
So the blood test was surprisingly ok, they phoned me before I left my house to ask me to check my temperature and then on arrival to the surgery I had to take my temp again and show the woman through the glass before they would let me in. I think it's the first time in my life I didn't cry at a blood test and without having somebody to hold my hand (yes I'm a grown up but I am also a wimp, despite having literally hundreds of blood tests in the last 10 years or so)
Other than that outing this morning, today has been a fairly lazy one, tomorrow we have to brave the pharmacy in the supermarket to pick up Mr FTD's medication (another reason to feel scared) I'm leaving him in the car and going in with a scarf wrapped around my face, I want to be in and out as quickly as possible.
Piq - I'm hoping being furloughed will help me sleep a bit better as I can drop the stress of work for a little bit and I'm avoiding too many news updates (almost an ignorance is bliss kind of existence).
what went wrong with the slow cooker cake? I keep seeing them on facebook pages and thought about trying it, I'm guessing it's not as easy as it looks?
It's hard to believe that we will look back on this as a historic event in years to come.
Back later with hot chocolate and marshmallows - one thing to come out of this staying at home is going to be an expanding waistline!Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

For those WFH because of coronavirus, Martin has put up a post about either claiming money from your employer OR claiming on your tax return or if you don't do a tax return, then you fill in a specific form p87 which is online or a postal version - no receipts needed. Here is the blog post in case you didn't see it.

morning all!
Snuck in to pinch a cuppa again, have cleaned up after myself though promise! Really wanted to pinch a caramel brownie but alas the diet says no
It really is good to read how people are getting through this odd little time, I think everyone is slowly getting used to it and from all the diaries and comments I read on here you are all a resilient bunch
Have a lovely weekend all

I set up an account with an online pharmacy and got my first prescription through the post today. It worked really well (ordered prescription through my doctor’s website on Monday and it arrived today), now I need to convince my parents to do it and that will be a big weight off my mind!3

Morning, Thank you all for the warm welcome at this strange time!
Got a coffee on the go, so thought I'd drop in to see you all, hope you're all well and managing to stay safe?
I couldn't sleep for some reason last night, due to my insomnia I did manage to book a home del. slot for 23rd April with Mr T and a click & collect slot with Mr M for next Wednesday. Mr FTD has underlying health conditions so the more we can avoid being in a supermarket the better. I managed to get to the pharmacy last night, luckily it was quiet and I managed to wrap my scarf tightly around my face so hopefully no germs consumed.
@GeorgianaCavendish what online pharmacy did you sign up to? if you don't me asking. We signed up to one last year and Mr FTD's prescriptions went awry and he ended up with no medication but keen to try again if you've found a good one.
Feels like the day is running away with me and I haven't really been that productive, I've had a cycle on an exercise bike, showered, applied a hair treatment, sent a couple of e-birthday cards and read some of my book. I just can't find the motivation to go and do something, maybe I'll pull out the paperwork and sort through that.
