    It comes down to how much you value your cleaner ... If like me, you have found a good one is like gold dust then i would suggest you support her here, either pay her not to come or allow the child in .... I dont see the child as a big deal. Even if you ask her to restrict child to the garden you have no way of managing the situation of you are not there (im never home when my cleaner comes either)

    Having said that if I asked my cleaner to restrict her child to the garden (not that she would as her kid is 20!) she would - whether I was there or not. If you trust someone enough to give them a key so they can enter your house while you are out - then I reckon you'd trust them to follow your reasonable requests

    Alternatively, I guess, you could always come home early just to check!
