I think if the valuation says it’s ok then nothing to worry as you have been approved subject to valuation already. So seemed everything is fine!

We were to underwriters but was due I had a notice of correction about why I'm not in the electoral roll. Valuation is being done today, don't know when we'll hear back. Broker said mortgage was approved subject valuation

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong (I didn't apply with Halifax but reading literally every mortgage thread!) -- don't ALL mortgage applications go through an assessment by an underwriter, even "perfect" ones (no affordability issues, no credit file issues, large deposit and savings etc)?
    Current debt-free wannabe stats:
    Credit cards: £9,705.31 | Loans: £4,419.39 | Student Loan (Plan 1): £11,301.00 | Total: £25,425.70
    Debt-free target: 21-Feb-2027

I think because of our immigration status, our application would definitely go to underwriting. My MA told me on the first day of submitting it that we will wait for the underwriting process so i think it is a normal process!
