Hi,
We are FTBs, our broker just submitted a full application for mortgage in Halifax on friday and i am really anxious how it will turn . We had an AIP up to 410k but we only need 375k for the property. How likely are we to be approved and how long before they make a decision? Cant sleep peacefully at the moment. Pls help

Shouldn’t be a problem, if your asking for less, as long as everything you’ve told them regarding your credit matches what they find.1

For another data point. My full application to Halifax went in on a Thursday, valuation took place on the following Thursday. I had the full offer on the following Monday.
Hope that helps!2 -

Good morning,My and my partner (FTB) applied with halifax las Wednesday and got now 6 hard searches on Credit Karma and 1 Hard on Experian. Is that normal? We have paid the valuation fee but not booked yet as the Broker said he needed the go ahead from solicitors, is it that normal.? As solicitors said they wanted the mortgage offer to carry on.Cheers,0

My broker just told me they are not "underwriter checks" (No idea what that means) as I have a notice of correction on my credit file, but it is about that I cannot register to vote as I am not UK citizen therefore I am not registered in the electoral roll. Broker said it will take now 2 days to come back with a decision.
