Right got through. STILL  cant do it on the phone however the guy said within the next few days the online system will be changed so you can do it there.

Spent over an hour on hold to Sky yesterday -then got cut off - I wanted to know whether pausing Sports HD ( I pay £14 a month) would effect my overall discount package. For the moment I'm going to leave it, pending reading others experiences

Hi All, just paused sky sports online, very easy to do, it updates your future bills right away.

Maybe Sky/BT will offer a reduced rate for the next season eg no football for 4 months of current season but you get so many months free next season.
If the suspension on sports enters next season I can all current subscribers not signing up.

Don't actually have Sky Sports myself but no, it won't affect any other part of your package. You can now click online in your account to pause it for 3 months.
