I was on chat with sky today - I had asked what was going to happen to Payments to sky sports?
At first they said I could cancel sports and re-join when sports start again then the line disconnected and I was unable to reconnect.
I suspect an urgent staff meeting was called - they were just going to offer me a new deal LOL as I am now out of contract.
I hope SKY at least put out a statement of intention - the airlines and hotel sites have done so.

I purchased the Nowtv F1 season pass specifically for F1. It seems obvious to me there wont really be an F1 season this year.
I'll be speaking to my bank in the morning to get a chargeback on my Visa, which is the best way to do it if you also want a refund.

A chargeback will only give you a very temporary refund until it is reversed a few days later.

You need to address it directly with Sky if you feel a refund is due and hope for some goodwill.

That's a B2B contract ... so it depends on the contractual terms agreed between the 2 businesses. :)

Where in the Sky contract and website does it say that they guarantee live sport.

How many of these threads are we going to get? Does nobody bother reading the forum anymore?
Nobody bothers reading anything anymore, we should have big signs that say "Free Beer, now that I've got your attention, <insert actual message here>" everywhere ;)

Anyway the T&Cs are to receive the services of the sports channels.  They don't guarantee any live content.  If Sky Sports vanished into the ether and wasn't receivable in any way shape or form on any platform, yes The OP and others may have a case.  But they haven't and the posters don't.
  • Hi - BT are still charging customers for their sports package even though no live sport is being shown due to Covid19. Is this right? Thanks
