What about a good old sandwich? I have four men at home atm and they are driving me nuts with their cooked breakfasts, fancy lunches etc. We eat a good meal at night but they all eat individually at all times of the day and night. My kitchen never gets a break and Im forever tidying up. I have Corona melt down big time. Also hygiene is not something my 3 sons are hot on so Im forever cleaning round in a bid to fight this wretched disease!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.10 -
DD phoned last night to say that DGD -aged 18 months- is out growing her shoes. We don't know whether to buy her a pair of plimsol type shoes from the supermarket or try to measure her feet and order shoes online.5

Hi,
I normally read but don't post on this thread but just posted on the Bookworm thread and thought I might put it on here too. I've just read a lovely little book on my Kindle called As Easy As ABC: Staying Happy and Healthy During the Lockdown by Joanna Martin. It's only short but really uplifting and has some great ideas of how to keep busy and happy. Hope it helps someone

Just rather concerned about this with hearing about all the scams re the current Covert-19 situation! Has anyone else had a phone call from 03333050466 introducing themselves as the National Shielding Helpline? I have just had such a call and do not know what to make of it. They asked if I have had a letter regarding 'shielding' from the government, which I haven't, but I did register myself on the government website as being 'vulnerable'. I was very guarded in my responses, (they were asking for NHS no, address, DOB etc). The phone number looks very like a scam number to me but having done a little research some say it is genuine. They said they would be arranging delivery of a food box and also I would receive a phone call shortly from a 'Shielding Person'. No idea what to make of it and feel rather stressed now...... anyone else had such a call??4

Thanks maddiemay....I have been frantically Googling and just came across that link too! It's such a shame that we have to be so suspicious these days but any phone number I don't recognise I immediately regard as being suspect. As I was talking to the chap it felt very 'odd'...is it possible to 'clone' a genuine helpline! Oh Gawd....this isolation malarkey is starting to get to me now as the smallest thing that I would normally just take in my stride gets magnified all out of proportion. Had to deal with a plumbing emergency this morning which meant having a workman come into my home....practically had a meltdown8

Miro..... And breathe.......
My Dad had a letter, I think from Matt Hancock, saying that he might get a phone call from that number, asking about shielding, and they would ask those questions to confirm it was him they were talking to. Don't worry if you don't want to answer them, they understand.
Did you get the plumbing fixed? Just make sure that anyone who comes in washes their hands, and give them kitchen roll to dry on, then throw away. So long as they keep their distance, you'll be ok. Take care. x2025 Fashion on the ration
