We did have ours delivered for a long while (as the pharmacy was only open when the surgery was, no weekends etc), then they decided to only deliver to housebound people, so we changed pharmacies to one we could get to a better times and they didn't deliver either.  It wasn't the usual chap today in the liveried van, looked like a volunteer in his own car.  So I'm appreciative of that.

I only have experience of Tesco and Waitrose, but with them you can put things in your trolley any time before you book a slot. This gives you time to think and if they start limiting amendments as BooJewels reports, at least you should have things you want in there.
Waitrose are now  coming up with a box every time you add something saying please book your slot first, but it does still put the item in the trolley - so far.

Quick everyone! Iceland have just released new slots, n I managed to bag one for tomoz .Not my first choice of shop,  but beggars can't be choosers at the mo

Miro - am so sorry you are having such a struggle - Am not in isolation as work in social care. From previous threads 'charity shop bargains' have often thought that we are not too far from each other geographically. I would be happy to get you shopping to save your friend driving 50 miles - have access to Waitrose, Morrison's and Sainsbury's if you wanted to put a list together. Please PM me if this would help as I can travel and have a pass if stopped. Could deliver over the weekend at a safe distance....take care and hope to hear from you

What's eveyone watching, not much on tele and netflix uk are not adding much that appeal to me don't watch violent stuff.Any recommendations please

Candygirl Thank you I've booked a slot with Iceland for Sunday. Not my first choice of sm either, but cheese is cheese and impossible to get one for Tes*o. Thanks again.

Had this email from Asda so praps things are moving along now....

"We have been working closely with the DEFRA and some of our fellow supermarkets for the last couple of weeks to understand how to ensure essentials reach those with no support network. Once we’ve received the information from the UK Government, we will email these customers to offer first access to delivery slots, ensuring they get what they need while they stay safe at home. We’re also working on similar programmes for customers in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland."

If and when I get allocated a slot I think I'll be ordering sprouts, turkey, Christmas pudding and Christmas crackers....just in case!!

I just got an email from Asda, with this encouraging comment, for those of us currently Shielding:

" The UK Government has identified over a million people in England who have conditions that make them extremely vulnerable to coronavirus (COVID-19) and have advised them to self-isolate for 12 weeks to protect themselves. That's fabulous if they can sort that out - I'd be very happy if I could secure one slot a fortnight and then plan my shopping accordingly.  That would make me very happy indeed.  

Sorry @Miró  - you were obviously quicker at typing than me.  Although I think the first sentence you didn't paste is perhaps pertinent too - just so that people understand.

You're welcome hun,  they even had loo rolls n eggs which was a huge bonus for me
